22:45 "I thought the boss was the boss" It is until you take the company public and start selling stock. If you are the *sole proprietor* and CEO, nobody can fire you. But once you start selling stock, the CEO *works for the shareholders,* who elect a board of directors who elect a chairman. The table of suits you see in the movie represent the people who own stock in the company. Sometimes, the founder of the company makes sure he always owns the majority of the stock, and then no one can outvote him, but when he can't do that, the shareholders can *fire him* if they're not happy with him, or like in this case, if they get offered an awesome deal conditional to his ouster.

To say it was solely his fault is mean, it was all just bad circumstances that could have been circumvented by being responsible instead of vindictive 😭 Ultimately Uncle Bens death was his catalyst for him to really click with his uncles words, which sucks but often times we as humans learn out lessons after we have been brought down to our worst. Thats why Peters so relatable and the perfect representation of leading by example and being the best you can be, even if it’s not the easy thing to do or for karma.

Norman Osborne played by Willem Dafoe was such an amazing character. The insanity of the split personality was both heartbreaking and captivating at the same time. He wasn't a true villain just like the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde story. He became a victim of his own overblown ego and desperation to save his company.

1. The nex tmovie is 'Spider-Man 2', then 'Spider-Man 3', then the Andrew Garfield series which starts with 'Amazing Spider-Man', then 'Amazing Spider-Man 2'. Then it hits the MCU with 'Spider-Man Homecoming', etc. 2. The reason Peter didn't tell MJ he loved her is because the people close to him are the ones who are most in danger due to him being Spider-Man. We saw in this film, if MJ was actually his full-time girlfriend, she'd constantly be in danger. I'm only saying this because this is a major point in the comics and the upcoming movies: Spider-Man can't be with people, because they'd be in danger.

Hey Dawn. The reason that Peter turned down Mary-Jane, despite being in love with her was mentioned a little bit before the moment she reveald her feelings for him. When Peter was thinking about everything he mentioned that ' Being spider man also means that those close to him would be at risk of being hurt ' just as his grandmother was when the green goblin discovered that Peter is Spiderman. He didn't want to put MJ in harms way, especially if he tells her he's Spiderman. Personally, I prefer him being Spiderman than the guy in the other movies. Did you know, the part where he catches those items on the tray while holding on to MJ when she slips, he actually did in real life. Hey had to film it over and over again until it was done but did it. The tray was attached to his hand do that it didn't slip off of his fingers but that was the only part. A wonderful reaction as always. Have a fantastic day, take care! ❤

This was a huge period in movies for me personally, the early 2000s, because all of my childhood loves (I was born in 1965 and even before I could read I was looking at Spider-man comics!), the Marvel comics characters and Lord of the Rings were all coming to the big screen and, unlike the past efforts, were done extremely well. This is not my favorite Marvel movie by any stretch, but what I will say at the end when I saw it in the theater when it was released was that for the first time a movie actually looked and made me feel like I was when I was 5 years old reading these comics. So I think your “it’s so colorful” comment is related to this. This movie when I saw it made me feel exactly the same way I felt as a young child reading these comic books. Thank you and RIP Stan Lee!

Hi Dawn - You are going to love your Marvel movie journey. There are a lot of movies, but well worth it! FYI: SONY owns the movie rights to Spider-Man. This is the Tobey Maguire trilogy. After that comes Andrew Garfield's 2 movies. Later - SONY made a deal letting the MCU borrow Spider-Man and that is when Tom Holland portrays Spider-Man. In the mid 90's Marvel comics had to sell off their movie rights to different movie studios to keep from folding under bankruptcy. Many of their most popular characters were sold. Movie release order becomes especially important because of the MCU and how all Marvel story lines become linked.

There ae 8 live action Spiderman movies so far. Tobey Maquire is Spiderman in the first trilogy. Spiderman, Spiderman 2 and Spiderman 3. Andrew Garfield is Spiderman in the reboot called The Amazing Spiderman and The Amazing Spiderman 2 The remaining Spiderman movie are part of the MCU franchise and are part of the watch order for all those movies so don't watch those until they come up in the watch order for all the MCU movies and their are a lot. The are also 2 Animated Spider-man movies that are probably the best of all the Spider-man films, with a 3rd part still to come. Spiderman was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Stan Lee make a cameo in most Marvel movies, including this one. He was the old man who save the little girl when Green Goblin attacked an the building was collapsing. In this movie Spiderman's origins are much like the comics. The spider bite, the wrestling match and Uncle Ben's death are from the comics. However they changed some other things like the webs he shoots. In the comics they are a device Peter creates to go along with his motif.

Here's the layout of who is in various Spider-Man movies. There is a Spider-Man 1, 2, and 3 that are these with Tobey McGuire. And then The AMAZING Spider-Man 1 and 2 are with Andrew Garfield. And then the newest one, played by Tom Holland is introduced for the first time through the regular Marvel superhero movies. (I won't say which one) and then they have a few others with him, that are Spider-Man Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home. And you mentioned that you really love when characters meet and get together in crossovers??? Then that is why you will LOVE watching the Marvel series of movies, because it's the thing they did perfectly. They have single character movies to introduce each one, like Iron Man, Captain America, etc. and then they bring them together in The Avengers. And then they go on to introduce a few other characters and groups in further movies, and then bring all of THEM in with the Avengers group in the Infinity Wars saga. It is spectacular! Also, overall, I really prefer the personality of the characters from Marvel over DC. It feels like you can connect with them more, like they feel a little more real and flawed.

Great reaction to a very entertaining movie. This was a box office sensation but there were doubts that the public would want this before it opened. Comic book movies had been inconsistent with sustained popularity. The previous hits were Superman ( Christopher Reeve) and Batman ( Michael Keaton) but they did not last as sustained franchises. The young cast was not box office and Willem DaFoe was an excellent character actor but not a movie lead. But this movie changed the paradigm for super hero movies. Yes it was a comic book but presented in a logical mature story way with minimal little kid comic atmosphere. Excellent reaction . The next one,Spider-Man 2, was considered one of the best and after its critical praise and financial success, comic book movies were changed forever.
