During Venom: Space Knight, the symbiote is cleansed on its home world where the discovery that the Klyntar are actually peace keepers that can be corrupted by negativity in their host. After Eddie gets Venom back, both decide to be full on heroes and forgive spiderman, realizing that if Spiderman dies, all the people he would've saved die too. He eventually becomes friends with Peter, even asking him to watch over his son. Eddie actually is rather sane now that he isn't driven by rage or anger that was amplied by the symbiote
