This year, Steve and I are focusing on reducing our game collection and being more mindful about what we add to it. We normally do a good job cycling through Essen releases but this year we really cranked it out! StumptownGameSu...

Very nice to see you taking up this subject. People tend to only focus on all the hype and new stuff, and not the stuff that happens after that, and how you "manage" a collection of games. Great job Tiffany :)

I love this concept of sharing what you get rid of! It's so easy to get caught up in the hotness and new games which half the time are not better than what we already own! I recently started a full list myself!

I'd love to visit the Stumptown Con. It's a perfect excuse to return to the Northwest.

Teotihuacan was the most recent one for me. Love Tzolk'in, so I had some expectations going in. I like it, can totally see why people love it, it's just far too dry and mechanical for me. I like Euro's where I have to consider other players more, where I can explore different strategies and find ways to do things that make you feel clever. Gugong did this for me, Teo just felt more like paperwork.

Oh interesting. This is the first I've read this sort of feedback and I love it. I'm been hesitant to play it for that reason so we'll see. Thanks for sharing!

I hadn't heard of Who Goes There? but looking at their KS now.. yeah. There's no reviews, it looks like. All their playthrus are in house. That stinks, though. Thanks for sharing!

Blue Lagoon with 2 players fell very flat. I need to play it with 3 or 4 to make a final decision.

I think for me the one that I was excited about was Newton, then was ready to get rid of it after the first play. I am also in the Portland area so will investigate the Portland guild and your show in May. For us uninformed, please provide some details about it. Thanks.

Oh I TOTALLY get that. Sometimes I do the same thing, unless Steve is willing to learn it. Teaching different Async is tough :/

Where do you end up up selling your games? I've been on BGG Marketplace, BGG Auctions, eBay, and FB Groups, but where do you sell yours? I have just gotten into the hobby this past year and feel I'm still building a good foundation of staples. It's hard to be buying the latest and greatest all the time. Do you also have a video of games that all hobbyists should own? So happy to have found you. You're super entertaining.

I typically sell my games locally first within the Portland Guild, but it doesn't sell there I'll branch out to BGG Marketplace. If something doesn't sell there, I'll try selling it to a local store that buys used games. If THAT doesn't work, I'll try to gift it or donate it somewhere. I don't have a video telling people what they should own because I feel games are very personal. Everyone's collection is different! I do have a video I made last last year called "Essen Games I'd Buy Again" that is games I'd buy again, but they're newer releases. Maybe I'll make a video about our collection's stables.

very strange thing Tiffany, the camera you are using for close ups either has a burned out pixel or something on the lens. It is located just under your nose at 8:37 in the video clip but it is there throughout this video in your closeup camera. Its a little white speck.

Oh very interesting, I see it. Well that's a bummer about that camera.

I got Coimbra and unfortunately as soon as the "take points from other player" card came up there was a look shared and a "why the hell does that need to be in there?" It was ok, but I hyped that up for myself and was a little disappointed, so I sold it.

That one can be pretty mean, yeah. I think we've only had it come out in one game, otherwise we sorta just ignore it. Good on you, though!

I need to cull my collection but it seems like eBay, BGG, and Facebook marketplace are so much hassle. How do you find buyers for your used games?
@TheOneTAR

I usually post them for 10% less than the lowest price of a game of similar quality. I price them to move. They might make me more if I price higher, but they will definitely get me money and out of my house if I price cheaper. I tend to sell in waves so I can list, sell, and ship all the titles in one week. It helps me feel less like I'm constantly doing it.
