the reason you kept getting hit by comets, is that the 4 tile comets only target land tiles. and you were the only one with land tiles.

@@MrTaucher007 The cities still count as land tiles despite flooding, it's the surrounding land that gets eliminated. As such they could lose cities to direct hits, but as Spiff had much more land than they did he ate the vast majority of meteors.

@@MrTaucher007 there's two types of comets. there's one that only targets cities and destroys only one tile, those can hit even flooded cities. then there's ones that can target any 4 tile land area, they can destroy cities if they happen to hit the tile, but don't target them, and they only target land areas that have the 4 tiles in the right shape. so all of the second kind of comet targeted him, which meant that even though they don't target cities directly, they ended up incidentally destroying all his cities anyway

Gotta say, I do love episodes like this. As much as I love watching the Spiffing Brit be smug and break games in half, it's also satisfying to watch him foisted on his own hubris. Alright, before I get into the video later I am placing my bet here. I did a quick bit of research on Indonesia in the real world and it seems they normally have to deal with volcano activity, and they are close to the equator so I assume heat making a drier climate makes them used to fires in general. It is also mentioned that flooding is going to be happening and they also are settled on many islands which suffer from tsunamis normally making them well equiped for that. If Civ 6 does them justice they can handle two potential disasters mentioned just fine and can benefit within them as well. I'll edit this after I watch with my feelings about the results. Edit:...
