Using the film footage to calculate the trajectory of the missing part …. So slick!

I love that Homer's "bed goes up" and "bed goes down" have become a running gag on the CNC. Puts a smile on my face every time. :D The bowl looks awesome. I like the more organic looking bowl rim you mention at the end. It fits the randomly placed spikes very well in my opinion.

As a long time viewer Its exciting to see bowls you turned in 2018 finally getting used for projects in 2024.

This one feels much more spiky than the earlier one which felt more like udders than spikes. Both are beautiful and thank you for sharing these with us!

As a new turner, the spikes on the thumbnail were enough to give me pause. I'm like "Oh...I have to see this!" Especially the joints...that one had me perplexed. I was not disappointed. I have seen more creativity in the past 5 years on KZbin in wood working than I have in the past 30 of actual participation...unreal. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful.

Certainly has a neat and unusual look. Visually, the piece has a fair amount of tension, and even "danger." It's the bowl for items you don't want other people to ever touch.

Creating the joints like that to expose them when carved really does add to the spikes and makes them feel connected to the bowl. Seriously so cool and impressive
