In the Philippines, I remember doing an activity in class as a high school lad. We were trekking through water carrying logs together as teams. Well, I remember I stopped for no reason and got some yelling at me, "OY, WHY YOU STOP?!" I look down and had a minor heartattack. Damn sea urchin RIGHT underneath my foot. I warned my group going, "Yo back out!" and that's when we saw like a few of the things scattered. No one got tagged thankfully but WHOO, it definitely is an experience. Had an uncle one time pulled one out of the water, had some very long spiky things. He told us that if we ever got yoinked, its a life or death thing. Careful out there vacationers!
