Good luck on doing the UZI mags. I tried and ruined 4 myself. The one I did get to work was a bear to load. The promags worked some of the time but bulged when loaded fully and were not easy to extract from the mag well or insert for that matter. The best, I found were the Metalform and C mags......However they required a good cleaning and the use of dry teflon spray to all internal surfaces of each mag. Also my AR9 build had pins walking out so I had to install anti-walk pins. I also installed the recoil spring spacer and the gas deflector with the shortened ejection port cover. Now she runs great. LIVE FREE AND CARRY IF YOU CAN !

Bought this lower a few weeks ago, had to shave the feed ramp a little and bend the ejector a tad to function properly

Ryan Palmiter I got this lower for my birthday back around Christmas as well. Which bolt are you using that required the mod to the feedramp and ejector?

Do you still have to keep bending it in cause on mine i have to to get the casings to shoot straight to the side

I was always told to never dry fire a lower without the upper attached, because it could crack the lower where the bolt release attaches. was I give en false info? ive always like to test my triggers with it off.

That's the consensus. Steel striking aluminum won't typically end well for the aluminum.

Why have all that extra aluminum on a "dedicated" 9mm??? I like the fact that it is shorter in the mag well. I could care less if it doesn't look like an original colt. I'll take the weight savings AND the "DEDICATED" 9mm appearance, I have mag blocks, but I'd rather have this one. I like the CMMG as well, but prefer the dedicated look of the Spikes.

This lower will accept all lower parts for an Ar-15 correct?

Slav YES. Any LPK will fit. I believe i used an Anderson LPK.

Why didn't you go with a slick side upper?

Steve M I did, got one from Brownells. I have a video showing it. I’m slacking on posting anything. I would never make any money on YT!! The slick side makes it look classic just like I wanted.

I built a spikes AR9 with the Glock Mag compatible lower. No issues at all and shoots smooth as butter. Great video but the amount of times you say “and ahh” and “umm” is cringeworthy. Ijs

Have you tried running hollowpoints thru it? Even with an enhanced feedcone Faxon barrel that was made by Macon Armory, it still wont feed my Speer Gold Dot G3 147 grain hollowpoints. Round nose 9mm ammo? It gobbles it up all day every day if that is what I feed it.
