The death penalty is so hypocritical it like saying "It's so morally wrong and disgusting to take the life of another human being that we are going to take your life", It's fucking ridiculous.

+RedWolfVids I'm also against the death penalty, but I don't think it's that simple. The punishment for taking someone and locking them in a cell in your basement is to lock you up in a cell - I don't find that inconsistent.

dumbledora theexplorer You're right it isn't that simple. It's a very complicated question which inheritly involves morality, personally I don't really agree with violence in any form unless there is literally no other option.

Death ends the pain most likely. He deserves to suffer for what he's done.

B2E Films it should only be a thing if they've killed someone first or some something awful. Don't be stupid

It's the reason behind it though, death penalty isn't killing a person for no good reason, it's killing someone who deserves it someone who could be dangerous to society, someone who doesn't deserve their human rights if they take them away from someone else they don't deserve a life in my opinion. I think however a hanging is far to easy, simple death, easy way out there's no suffering or torture just like his victim. I agree with the old Victorian ways of punishment personally, an eye for an eye you get what you give out. I also don't think it's justice to that person they did kill to let them stay alive, it's not revenge to want them to be hung or electrocuted it's justice

Janet needs to explore the grey areas once in a while ... always seeing things black and white doesnt allow for other people to express themsevles properly

You don't have to have children in order to have an opinion on the death penalty.

If we always followed our human instinct of revenge, lisa and janet would have had a punch up instead of a lively debate.

I'm still shocked at how lenient the UK is compared to the US. Someone could get life/death In America and only 12 to 30 years max in the UK.

my issue is that what if the hanging goes wrong for the person who is rightfully convicted of a crime or wrongfully convicted. Will that person's loved ones be able to seek restitution and will that executioner be sent to prison, pay a fine or lose their job?

We are in our judicial system in that we are not severe enough for me life should mean life if you kill you should never be allowed to see daylight again instead the average murderer does 10 years

These silly women, although they mean well you should not hide what this scumbag has done just because you feel uncomfortable about it, the Child felt the worst of it, then her family and then her friends, the rest of us, well it does not matter what we feel, when it's all blown over we can get back to our lives and remember if we want, or not, as the case may be, what is important is that the absolute strongest message is sent out to the community that deals in the filth of sexualising young children, that may they act upon their desires all that waits for them is a hangmans noose.

Have to agree with Lisa 100% - as my relative age 16 years was murdered his KILLER ( age 23 ) was found guilty but insane by jury so was sent to mental hospital only to be released at government pleasure - this dirt bag spent 2 And half years there and within no time back in court for the multiple rape of an 11 year old lad - this dirtbag served 3 years for destroying that poor lad's life - so MY point is IF justice had been done for the murder of my relitave SCUMBAG could not have hurt anymore
@aprildannette98207 жыл бұрын
Exactly that is terrible that that happened not only to you but to that poor 11 year old Justice does not always happen in this world but i believe in the next world it is waiting for all people who harm other specially the ones who harm children

Justice is democratic, revenge is just barbarian instinct. We need to stay on the right side
@sourcescience5 жыл бұрын
s0wet0 no it isn’t. There is a reason that the courts are separate from the judiciary, and your idiotic assertion is that reason.
@oliver5396 жыл бұрын
I know what I said maybe controversial but how would you say to a mother of a convicted felon's execution was either botched or wrongfully done that there is justice? Justice is about restoration. It isn't suppose to create more wounds in both the victims family and the perpetrators family.
