0:55 - the run up requires you to be relaxed and jump naturally, from a slow approach to fast and aggressive, from small steps to big leaps. 1:25 - during take-off, hind leg at 100-120 degrees 1:50 - swing arms behind back, simultaneously swing arms upwards whilst jumping 2:10 - contact the ball with all fingers spread out (max surface area) a little lower than center of palm for spin. 2:44 - chest forward and arch back to create spring motion, hit ball at highest point thank me later :)

great video. i like how detailed it is on angles, and sequence
@speedyjim8814 жыл бұрын
basically the first few minutes it talks about what makes a spike/kill ie. jump, hip/ core strength, arm swing and wrist control of the ball. every spike/kill consists of run up, jump, receiving the ball and landing. on approach you want to be relaxed and you want to got from slow to fast. when jumping you want both feet on the ground bend the back leg to around 100-120 degrees to give good boost in jump

opening up the chest and shoulders from side on to front on this will help extend your jump hit the ball and prepare for landing and land on both feet. to help increase jump it help to swing your arms in a upward motion on approach in initiating the jump. in terms of hitting the ball you want to open your hand and almost attempt to grab the ball when hitting the ball it will give the ball a forward spin motion. while in the air preping for the spike/kill you want to be arch like a "crane"

Leave it to the asians, thats what I always say, they always do it right. I love this video, sure its not in english but you get the just of the activity. The graphics help "talk" for the asian commentator. And they physically show you how to hit the ball with your hand. Plus they give you ANGLES!!!
@speedyjim8814 жыл бұрын
when swinging for the hit you want to hit the ball at the top of your flight and the ball to make contact halfway through your motion. you want to contact the ball at the highest point of your arm.

Everyone can tell it is spoken in Chinese. There is a large population of Chinese people in Malaysia especially in big cities like Kuala Lumpur and Penang. These are probably Malaysian Chinese in the video.

they are just basically talking about the fundamental of a approach, arm swing, etc etc. extending your arm, contacting the ball at its highest peak etc etc. just watching it is pretty much self explanatory. hahaha..
