Emily thank you for being so candid about your emotional journey on being alone! I’m coming up on 2 years being single, and ever since that beginning I am so thankful it’s only been up for me! Now I think I’m in a transition chapter, since I find myself wanting someone else in my life like my friends have their relationships. Not in a jealous way, but in an happy way! Definitely think there is a difference between being alone & feeling lonely! Tried applying for a new job but to no success. Also what i want for xmas…? I got a candle warmer light. i relate so hard to the part about waiting for a partner for 20-ish years of life. i didn’t get my first (and only, still going strong!) partner until i was 19 and i had spent most of my life wanting love sooooooo bad. finally getting it made the wait so worth it. i have a best friend who is my age and still hasn’t dated anyone and there’s definitely nothing wrong with her, she’s beautiful inside and out and incredibly smart.

Hey Emily. I just finished watching this Q&A vlog and glad to hear that you’re doing ok and that you’re making big goals for next year. For me, this year has been much better mentally after last year. I’m going to fully focus on my physical health this year and I’m really looking forward to doing better both ways and hopefully by the time I go back to WDW next year, I’ll finally be where I need to be. 14:29 i’m glad to hear such a positive sentiment regarding waiting to date. i think it would be worthwhile to have a deeper conversation on this subject. there are studies that show the percentage of 18 y.o. that have never been in a relationship has been steadily increasing and another study showing people don’t have as many friends as in previous generations and a sharp rise to about 10% of people having no close friend. i believe it’s a systemic issue not talked about enough. my dream is for a future where our cities are redesigned to be built on a human scale as opposed for the car. that might seem impossible but there are a handful of cities in north america doing this like Culver City, Emeryville, Austin, Hoboken, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Atlanta. i think it’s debatable whether we’re more antisocial as a society due to our reliance on cars or phones/social media. any other solutions? i’m all ears
