im not gonna lie, i just graduated from film at tisch this past week and this video popped on my recommended page and i got curious and clicked on it. Def threw me for a loop though when you mentioned me in the beginning of your video haha (hi im the student who got the internship editing for the olympics LOL) Marsha is a great professor and was an incredible mentor to me as with so many of the faculty at Tisch. you normally apply senior year anywhere from november-march (i think!) depending on what deadline you’re trying to submit by

Hello. I love you channel and this video was really helpful. I got into nyu for film this year and I am considering deffering a year to work. I am just scared that I will miss out on things, especially socially. congratulations!! college is so different from high school because there is no specific path that everyone follows. There are so many people who take gap years, people who come straight from high school, transfers, and even people who take multiple years off before going to college. No matter what you decide to do, i’m sure you’ll find your people! It’s a big school and big city! 💓

i’ve met a few dramatic writing students in my essay classes and the only thing i know is that their curriculum revolves around writing for anything from screenplays to theatre scrips to literature!

i’m about to graduate high school and i’m considering taking the fall semester off, and applying to the visiting student program for spring 2023 to get a feel of the nyu experience, then reapplying as an offical student for the fall 2023 term. any advice??? i’m so lost at the entire visiting student program concept

I think it’s pretty social! I’ve heard Rubin is the most social though because since they don’t have AC everyone’s doors are always open lol

NYU actually doesn’t let freshman pick their roommates! They room people together based off of geographical diversity.
