The animators aren’t just moving the models the way they’re rigged to move, they’re moving the actual vertices of the models themselves. I thought it was implied In the first movie that Dracula loved his late wife Martha so much, that she was irreplaceable. Plus, I thought the characters in this world can only Zing ONCE! Also, it's kind of weird that Dracula didn't have that much of a strong reaction to a human (who he was attracted to) trying to kill him which use to be his biggest fear before.
