I really think that this movie should have been the perfect opportunity to address the fact that Mavis and Drac are going to outlive both their spouses in the future. Them talking to Ericka and Johnny about possibly turning them into vampires would have been an interesting point in this movie.

Well, this was a disappointing goodbye to the franchise. This movie wasn’t even brave enough to be shown in theaters, so they had to put it on Prime Video. They even had to cast Brian Hull to play Dracula because Adam Sandler said no to the fourth one.. I mean, because he really wanted to play the character. I guess the whole monsters becoming human concept sounded good written down, but when your franchise has already died after the 3rd, you get exactly what you’re going to get.

One thing that really bugs me about this movie is the fact that when Dracula hypnotizes Dennis and Winnie. Dennis shouldn’t have been hypnotized, because he’s a vampire as well. The scene is even weaker when you think about how they mentioned this fact in the second movie when Dracula was trying to prove Dennis was a vampire. That counselor at the camp they went to flat out said that he couldn’t be hypnotized because he was also a vampire.

The movie could've easily been about Johnny reconciling with the fact his own wife and child will outlive him in the future. Imagine if it was a Puss in Boots 2 type story where he fears the thought of death in a hotel of monsters and later appreciates the life he has now. Yeah, I always wondered how Johnny and his family would deal with the fact that Mavis, Drac and Dennis are gonna outlive him by centuries. I heard that in this movie’s universe vampires cannot turn humans into vampires by a bite, but this could’ve been a better plot point than just basically watching the first movie all over again. The first movie was about Drac and the monsters accepting humans, specifically Johnny. This one could’ve been about Johnny accepting himself as human, being in turmoil about how his family will outlive him, but also knowing that they already love him for who he is. They could have unpacked some of the vampire lore the creators had in mind with Johnny asking Drac or Mavis if they could turn him, so that they could all be together forever.

Sorry, but I'm in favor where people think the Invisible Man should've been attractive. The pondering his ass in the shower scene? The moments where he's giving himself prep talks while holding things in mid air or sad no one can see what he's actually doing? The moment he's trying to pretend he has an invisible girlfriend by holding another drink then gets the Invisible girl in the end? (And you KNOW they were doing a lot more than making out, probably one of those things was grabbing that Invisible booty...lol) This dude being an unseen hunk of a man with a nerdy intellect who was just trying to be noticed by others who couldn't see him for his brilliance was a missed opportunity for a pivotal plot in the movie

Griffin out of all the characters had a very overlooked cute arc where he went from being the awkward one to getting a girlfriend who relates to him, and the best part was he was even giving Drac dating advice in the 3rd movie. Not only was he clearly skinny, but he was clearly fit as a character especially when you examine how he sweeper his invisible lady off her feet so smooth, his work out videos, and when he throws in a punch and a few kicks to Drac while dodging all his attacks back....mind you this was a vampire, not a normal man he was dodging. It was an insult NOT to make him at least fit.

What is this hesitation with passing down the hotel? Johnny would definitely treat the patrons right, with Mabel's help. If anything, Johnny would be happy with NOT getting the hotel and just being with his family, OR simply having the hotel as a place where humans and monsters coexist.

While Transformia may have been the weakest film of the Hotel Transylvania franchise, It was still very interesting to see what Johnny Looked like as a monster and what Dracula and friends looked like as humans. And whenever I see the part where Van Helsing says that the more time a human spends as a monster the more monster they become, I'm surprised that the writers didn't make it so that the longer Drac and friends stayed humans they would continue to age until they turned to dust. Because you know since monsters are immortal you would think that if they were turned human then the monster ray would also strip them of their longevity.

Bit surprised how much they hated this one, considering the whole series is pretty mediocre. Also I actually liked how much 4 leant into the CG rubberhose animation style, admittedly I still would've taken the Popeye movie Sony showed a concept video for. Also this film remembered that Johnny was a backpacker and tied it into the story, and overall I think they rounded off the franchise well with Drac accepting Johnny and passing on the legacy of the hotel. And a little bonus detail I love is how fully human Frankenstein's Monster is handsome, as part of the original story is that the body parts sourced were beautiful but assembled together made them horrific.

I mean it kinda makes you wonder though why drac did not turn Johnny into a Vampire. Even in the first movie that could have solved all of their issues.
