After watching another YTuber who also had an AK Grizzly Fish Trap, and then seeing it on your video, I went to the local farm store and Sportsman's warehouse and within 20 minutes I had built two of the units for under $7 each. Testing will begin today and tomorrow on a local pond that just froze over last week.

I just purchased a Jig or Naut after seeing yours. I set it up at home and it works great! Can't wait to test it on the ice, which hopefully will happen soon.

I'm enjoying the intense line peeling audio made possible by your improved video equipment, well done indeed.

Holter, Houser and Canyon Ferry lakes in Montana allow 6 rods through the ice.

Cool, you went fishing! Seems like it's a bit chilly out there. Then again, I'll be back out Sunday morning when it's supposed to be upper 20s to start the day and may get to 50 by the time I'm finished.

2 pole endorsement license is the way to go imo. I do a carolina rig on 1 rod. And I cast and retrieve the other its fun when you get double up

In Vermont the general regulation is up to 8 lines during the ice fishing season, and Lake Champlain actually allows up to 15. I think most fishermen feel that's way too many, but that hasn't changed in decades so I guess it's not doing too much damage to the fisheries. But some of the prime pike fishing areas can definitely become an absolute sea of tip ups on weekends with good weather. I don't have a lot of experience with automatic hook-setters, but the ones you have look interesting. I have a Jawjacker and an Automatic Fisherman Snapper. I like the Snapper much better of the two because it has far fewer fiddly parts.

In Idaho you can have 5 poles in the water. Also you can have 5 hooks per pole if you want. 👍👍

I fish the alaska traps also, i still get quite a few 12" to 20" trout gut hooked, I use #6 owner mosquito hooks ...what you using outa curiosity. never had these hooks break but using 4lb test line too

I set my trigger very light. I always hook them on the nose. I use flies not sure what hooks this particular fly was tied on it since it was purchased

@@spiltmilt I set mine as light as possible too, majority are stuck in lip but still getting some gut hooked. ice freezing in the hole restricting the line might be what giving trout more time. Trout are pigs too, yesterday a big one i kept had a lost 5" senko and a frog in its belly, ha ha

EDIT: Wow, I literally got an email from them 23 minutes after I made this comment. I guess there was a website mistake and I was able to order when I shouldn't have been able to. I will still be getting the trap. I'm excited! Original Comment: I ordered an AK trap from them about a month ago in early December. I finally emailed him a couple days ago since his website shop changed and has nothing in it, not even the replacement parts. I'm hoping I'll get a reply but I'm starting to doubt it.

Alaska Fish Trap must be on the fritz right now. The web site is still up and running, but no Traps recognized. FYI.

I got a Jaw Jacker when it first came out and to be honest it sucked. Maybe they have improved things.

In bc it's one rod. One hole.

BC and it’s silly rules

Yeah I agree, makes having a jaw jacker or auto hook setter basically pointless
