A dear sweet neighbor from years gone by taught me how to make this. She used frozen spinach which I think would be just almost the same. This is a favourite! She was from Louisiana. I love to watch Mama Joyce cook!

I’m from Canada and moved to northern Florida (Live Oak) 7 1/2 yes ago. For church potlucks, I noticed nobody ate my dishes...apparently they don’t like Canadian cooking? I live in Germany and I have never seen canned spinach. I just know the fresh and the frozen spinach. And I love it with potatoes and sunny side up eggs. All the best to you ♥

Oh my goodness, reminds me of my grandmother, who was also from this area. These are priceless. And yes, these recipes are a dying art. Marshall, you are so fortunate to have these!
