Learn how to make a delicious and healthy spinach & cheese chicken dish with H2F Kitchen! This palak chicken recipe is a fantastic way to eat healthy and enjoy a flavorful meal.
Ingredients
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp butter
2 tsp dhaniya
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 .5 tsp pepper powder
1 .5 tsp Salt
3 .5 tbsp curd
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
250 g boneless chicken
Spinach puree 500 g
1 large onion finely chopped
1 dry red chilli
2 green cardamom
1 bay leaf
4 to 5 garlic pods chopped
1/4 cup cream
1tbsp cheese spread or 5 cheese slices.
Method
• Wash and drain the water from the chicken and marinate it with curd, salt, pepper powder, dhaniya powder, garam masala powder , cumin powder , ginger garlic paste and leave it for at least 2 to 3 hrs.
• Wash the spinach leaves and boil it in water for 4 to 5 minutes.
• Drain the hot water and wash it with ice cold water and puree it.
• Heat a pan and add oil and butter.
• When the butter melts, add cardamoms, bay leaf and dry red chilli and garlic and sauté.
• Add onions and stir them well.
• Stir until the onions turn golden brown.
• Now add the spinach puree and stir it on low heat for a nice 3 to 4 minutes.
• Transfer the marinated chicken into the pan and stir fry it.
• Add water if needed, cover and let the chicken cook.
• Once the chicken is cooked, taste and adjust the salt , pepper and add cream and cheese spread.
• Also add 1/2 tsp garam masala.
• Let it simmer for a while and switch off the flame.
• Relish your spinach and cheese chicken with parathas/ naan / chapati.
