Wow, more than one million viewers watched your cooking show. The simple reason being that there was a subtitle that explained in English . Many Arab KZbin videos does not have subtitle and viewers like myself watched once and they never come back again because of language barrier . You should be able to find sumac in a middle eastern grocery store, or sometimes it's found in a bulk store. Sumac adds tartness, so if you don't have, just add some extra lemon or citric acid.

I'm sure you can buy a ready dough from the store, but growing up we always made our own. Fatayer Dough Recipe 2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour 1 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup whole milk (lukewarm) 1/3 cup canola oil (olive oil can be used but will produce a drier dough) 1) Place Flour in bowl and make a well in the center. 2) Add instant yeast, sugar, and salt and whisk it through the flour. 3) Add milk and oil. 4) Mix well until combined then turn over on a lightly floured surface and knead for five minutes. 5) Set in large bowl and Cover dough to rest for 10-15 minutes (you can leave it on the counter, the dining table, wherever), And that's it. The dough can be used immediately. It only needs about 15 minutes of rise time and it's ready 😊🙏

We do this in Brazil , the name of this delicacy in Brazil is esfirra , but we do different types , using ground beef , cheese , and there we do open too , my favorite is escarole with cheese and little peaces of bacon.

5 spice is the name of the spice, it's a mixture of 5 spices, I think it has cinnamon, cloves, fennel, anise and peppercorns. You can find it in an Asian food store or a bulk store. I would prefer to use the Arabic 7 spice mixture but if I don't have that I just use the 5 spice.
