This series , when it was first aired inspired me so much. Not ego driven and a slice of the times. After over 40 years living in Sydney I now call the North coast home...wish I'd done it years earlier!

Rons son was in my class at primary school, he was just as much a fin addict as his old man. Always full of stories every Monday morning of the fish caught on the weekend. That was 1975 different days then. I live just down the road from this spot, it still comes alive with spaniards and cobia but you have to plan your attack. A lot of people now to that want a piece of the action, so planning calls for desperate measures at times to avoid the crowds. Nothing like it just you and a mate out on the stones making enjoying the best of it!

Daryl Comline I've wanted to fish hat head ever since I first saw this as a kid. But when is season there I want to avoid the crowds but be in for a real shot? Wonder what happened to his young bloke

I fished same time and same water in seventies everyone had respect for everone else and longstanding friendships were made every weekend you were on road to find another hidden gem a lot of todays places were found by pioness of hss boys of late 60sand 70s the boys of today are still fishing Like devels gorge green point seal rocks cape hawk they all fished by these legengs like ron Andhss boys of 60sthanks paul
