2:32 I think they fixed the weird growth times too, Kav made a video on it. So yea pachy doesn't have the same growth time as a carno anymore. Also I think they made it so that you get to sub adult stage faster, and then it slows down. But it's like, you get to sub adult stage but you are not even half the size of the adult, like when I tried it today as a Dilo it showed me as a sub adult on the menu and I was grown into the sub adult morph at around %55 growth but I was still under 300kg.

Dilo growth has been like that since December. Don’t know why, but it’s the reason a dilo that looks full grown at a glance might actually have 1/2 the hp of an actual adult dilo.

@@dinohunter321 every single creature that has some sort of upper hand or lethal ability should be made like that imo. Deino at 80% should be still somewhere near 4 tons, carno around 1000-1200 kg. Even stegos can be still half the size. The bigger the creature, the wider the gap between fresh adult and full adult is the right way. Dilo still being pinnable even at 80% by omni (while also being faster and with better stampool) is actually good balancing.

I think most of the changes in the Horde Test is great, the growth changes I think need more time to be worked on because some are mainly suffering from that like Troodon which takes 1 Hour and 10 minutes if you manage to get the best growth rate, most of the other tiny tiers suffer from this too. I think all the tiny tiers (Except Herrera) growth should be less than an hour with perfect diet because what made them good choices was that they didn't need long to fully grow and it is nice for a short play

Like that Spino looks nearly twice as heavy as the real life Spino. T.Rex also looks like it's gonna be much bigger than Deino, since there is a screenshot of them side to side from a dev stream and T.Rex looks both wider and longer.

Current thresholds are 60-40-25. Where I would argue that for smaller creatures and maybe even quadrupeds, those last 2 thresholds should be still slightly more benevolent. Like 30 and 15. Carno still benefits from those changes the most and since it is just a freaking train that can run everywhere, I see those 60 as a real threat :D

Yeah every dinosaur I feel should have different thresholds and values where it seems necessary. It would make each playable act and feel different, and would be beneficial to balancing the game. The smallest changes can really change a whole lot.

In my personal opinion, Spino should fear Deino, not just in The Isle, but any game in which they coexist. Deino is a total powerhouse that is near unmatched in the water, yet performs awful on land, meanwhile Spino has all of Deino's strengths and very few of its weaknesses. If you have a playable that is effectively fully aquatic then add a semi-aquatic that outperforms that fully aquatic in most, if not all, ways, that's pretty shit balancing. From what it seems right now, should a Deino pursue a young Spino, it has the easy escape option of land, whereas if a Spino hunts a Deino, you're permanently locked to the water and are effectively a moving corpse if you swim into a dead end. Spino can remain a powerhouse, terrorizing smaller tiers as much as it wishes, so long as Deinosuchus can keep it in check in the waterways and Rex continues to rule the land. Otherwise, the playerbase will have effectively no reason to play Deino, as long as the far more appealing option of Spino is available. Spino got gigabuffed by Apollo Engineering, hence its status as a miniature kaiju, I don't see why Deinosuchus couldn't also get buffed up to the hatcheri estimates to compete more effectively.

the stamina change is okay I guess but I'm still of the opinion that if the devs are going to take away our faster stamina regen rates that we had in Spiro, then they need to make food and water drain significantly slower to make up for it. in other news, I'm loving the new Spino model. looking forward to when it comes out. I have a feeling that most apexes will have a form of grapple that suits their playstyle. Spino probably wants to pin the other guy so it can use it's claws and jaws to finish them off. Rex wants to reach the neck and chomp down until it wins. Giga wants to slow the fight down and use bleed to win via attrition. Deino wants to drag the other into the water and drown them/use death roll. Acro will have a similar strategy to rex but is smaller and weaker. That reminds me about the horrible spot acro has. I really hope they redesign, replace or remove acro. It's tough guy niche is very similar to rex, but without all that power rex has.

Nah, the current one is better imo, because everything has more stamina now, I could easily run until I had %60-65 stam left and regen while trotting and I'd still have enough stam left to defend myself if needed, unlike Spiro where I had to constantly keep it above %75 and that %75 stam was still less than the %60 in horde testing. So it's much easier to manage stamina than it was in Spiro

They want you to be more careful with stamina Regen, which I understand. But when I was playing the horde testing branch, the 60 percent threshold was quite nice. Especially since stamina consumption is super low for pretty much everything you do now. I can run for a few minutes and get to 60 percent Stam, then trot for a little while until I feel comfortable to run again.

How outdated is this info? Making a big deal out of regenerating stamina while trotting and making it seem like its a big deal happening in the hordetesting branch when its already out in live and has been for a while, makes me doubt how relevant the rest of the video is. Sure they are further improving the stamina but you already regenerate stamina while trotting at 75% and above on the normal branch.

and that is with perfect diet. Omni has no AI on their diet that provides the line nutrient, so basically forget about growing a Omni "only" taking ~1 hour 40 minutes. Most Omni will not be growing with a +100% bonus but either +30-50% which pushes up the grow time a fair bit. Omni probably going to be the 2nd longest carnivore to grow, only 2nd to Deino. Carno is in a similar situation but I mean, its still a Carno when its small.. it can body a lot of other juvie player dinos simply by sheer "I am a Carno".

spino destroying deino is complete and utter bullshit because if you look at spino's teeth and jaw, it doesn't even have the power to get through something like a deino's armor. You could argue it has powerful claws and it does, but Deinosuchus has a tremendous bite force that shouldn't be underestimated. Realistically, a spino would never engage a deinosuchus in battle. It would likely die from it's injuries IF it even won in the first place

So im one who argues for realism whenever possible. Deinos dont need something to nerf them. Stegos already do, and adult deinos already take care of the younger population from getting too big. Food is already hard enough to find by the time you do become an adult, so...yea. Not to mention, Spinosaurus would not be able to over power a deino. Neither would a trex.

Fist they should manage the basics of a game... they should get a stable server. These rubber banding are fkng sh!t.. you can't fight like pack vs pack size. One on one is ok but of there are 4 on 4 it's like Matrix laggy effects. (>_>) No fun at all. And i often see unofficial servers with 150-200 slots lol... like wtf. 100 slots are even the drain hole of a evrima server. I personally think they are hard to play with even 60-80 players.

Nah the stam in the horde testing branch right now is pretty great, even as a carno it's easy to manage, can run while traveling without needing to sit down. For me it's even better than it was on spiro since now everything has more stam on top of being able to regen from %60-100 while trotting. I get that the first version of the new stamina system was mildly annoying but if you can't even manage this it's kinda your problem.

​@alunaticwithashotgun9840 sorry I am asking you right now but I haven't played in months and I need to check, have they worked on AI spawns yet? Do I still need to be at Hotspots to find food or can I finally survive outside of the 2 Hotspots

@@feyytime5571 No you don't need to be on hotspots anymore, as far as I have experienced AI spawns pretty much anywhere in a decent amount, specially in the current horde testing branch I was able to grow a carno to full adult without even seeing another player (there were like 6 other people in the server at that time) even in the main gateway branch you can be pretty wasteful and get away with it, like to the point that killing other players for food is optional instead of necessary.
