My mind went another direction but I think your work flow is far cleaner than what I would have done.

Appreciate it! There’s probably a better way (especially using the forms workspace) but this what I came up with in parametric and isn’t super complicated overall
@esotericbear98294 ай бұрын
@@madebyjwillis My work flow is super terrible. My mind works more for sculpting than parametric. I think I probably would have made the revolved vase and then added a gusset to the outside, & then mirrored that. It would have been harder and taken longer.
@add859tankionline3 ай бұрын
@@madebyjwillis Surface sweep has a setting to adjust the twist use this. Then thicken the surface using the symetrical setting. Use combine intersect to follow the curve of the vase. Fillet the ribs making sure to use the full round fillet setting.then compine main vase body with rib. Then use circular pattern using the feature of the rib.

If you don’t make the internal cavity and make it solid you can print this in vase mode.

The part when you do "another revolve" to cut the inside of the vase out cofuses me... I dont see what youre selecting as profile. For me there will no slot be left over?

@@madebyjwillisI understand that it’s hard to explain… but I’ve already watched it at the point I’ve wrote the comment several times 😅 After some try and error I did it but not exactly like you in the video. Thank you anyways, I really like and appreciate you content!

yeah thats true, I rewatched it like 30 times, and there is a cutout on the vid then next step is just showing@@sneakypete8809

Why not use the shell tool to hollow the vase?
@YounisElzaharna4 ай бұрын
Thank you for the tutorial. I've kind of lost you when I tried to make the second revolve of the 3rd sketch profile. Would it be possible to make elobraote video ( a littel slower and showing the full screen), so we can actually follow the steps.

Because it’s made in a parametric software and the size can be adjusted
@Pixelily65544 ай бұрын
Do you have any knowledge on making parametric designs where there may be more or less objects created? When ive done this to say define the number of decorations repeated on a model every time the parameter changed the new bodies to be combined would be removed and the meshes are say body5 which isnt referenced in the combine tool... and if the number is increased further bodies 6, 7, 8 also arent referenced and the model breaks.

Looks like model is not filled. Did you really printed it in vase mode without seam using one perimeter?
@madebyjwillis4 ай бұрын
Don’t know what you’re talking about - it’s a solid model, printed with normal settings

@@madebyjwillis yeah, exactly, not "spiral vase" that's name for specific setting in slicer
@generativemachineАй бұрын
Interesting, but not parametric. To make it parametric you could use the Parameters tool under modify to define the geometry.
