Well, it's actually great. Needs some refinement for sure...I'd definitely like the ability to select patches by genre and maybe preselect the ADSR if I have a particular sound in mind. Patches usually need a bit of volume tweaking as they are often too quiet, but the results are generally great. Out of 32 patches I'll usually get 5-6 that are absolutely top quality that can go straight into a mix with minimal tweaking. Unlike most randomizers almost everything is reasonable and occasionally brilliant. Certainly for pads/atmospheres it's generated some really great cinematic patches that have an organic acoustic quality I didn't expect from Spire. This is a massively promising start. Absolutely game changing. Please continue down this path, I'm excited to see where it leads!

This is amazing, Spire needed something new to get back to the top. A function similar to the MicroMusic plugin that clones any external sound and turns it into a preset would be interesting...

Hey! Thanks for the feedback. I suggest selecting Experimental Mode when possible and using low DNA Q values. This is especially great for Pads and Atmos Categories.

The “in progress” message can happen as the AI works on complex tasks. You can close the project and reopen it later - the presets should be ready then. If this keeps happening, please report to [e-mail]

This is so cool! I see it as a great tool in the toolbox if someone is learning Synthesis and Sound Design. It might generate exactly the sound someone is after purely by serendipity. Then, that individual can reverse engineer the sound and discover exactly what is going on with the timbre that peaks their interest!

Been playing around with it,, it a great start, it would be good to have different prompts to separate bass types, for example generating sub basses instead of normal bases, or mid bases etc...

Is it possible in the future to modify AI to allow choosing styles? For example, Dutch House, Tech House, Slap House, Bass House? For instance, you choose Bass >> choose a style >> and it provides presets in that style.

Would be better if it was text prompt oriented. That's where things are headed with Ai. This feels more like a "multi parameter randomizer" Model? Seed? What does that tell. That being said, Spire is my favorite synth.

Where is Reveal Sound based, I've never thought about it, but I'm 100% sure that the voice over in this video is by a Finn! (As am I). Kudos anyway, I use Spire on pretty much every song. My latest track (the Ukrainian one) on my youtube page has a plucked synth hook, whch is actually a Spire preset.

What is the specific reason for entering and validating the account for RS AI? I mean, we’ve bought the license and the VST knows it’s a legal product when fired up. The calculations for generating presets could easily be run locally and capping the number of presets per day doesn’t need cloud connectivity either. What happens when pressing submit… Are those results also used to further train the model and thus becomes a public commodity. It could also mean this beta is a trial and I’d assume new “AI” generator functions will later probably be sold, maybe even subscription based functionality. Just wondering… Spire is an excellent VST and your update policy has always been excellent. Kudos though for fresh thinking and hard work 😊

Looks interesting, I assume this will override the current 1.5.16 installation by default? Perhaps would be better if an installer is released and you called it "Spire AI" until it's out of Beta so we can test it with the stable 1.5.16 version?

Hi! Just to clarify, the beta aspect applies only to the AI functionality. The 1.5.17 version overall is an improved and more stable release compared to 1.5.16.

Actually, cant tell a final verdict about it since it still Beta, but i would like to see an addon, where i can "train-generate" several presets out of my own preset (Train from preset), to get several variations in result.

AI doesn't always work. Perhaps this is due to sanctions. It would be better if they made a function like in the “Hybridize” Serum, or like in the Synapse Audio “Genetic” synthesizers. And added wavetable synthesis.

The model names and options have been updated a few times since the video was recorded, so you might not see the exact same model as shown. Please explore the available models in your version, as they offer similar or improved functionality.

You can continue working on other projects in the meantime. The generation process is parallel, so you can close the current project and reopen it later to receive your presets once they’re ready.
