I always love these huge castle mods for Skyrim

This one is pretty big! And with at least 5 secret passages, there's always something to stumble upon that surprises you. 😆 I think if I were super rich, I'd make a secret room in my home, for sure.

That was a creative way to continue the decoration, right?! 💀

The castle is absolutely impressive! I don't like being a vampire though hahaha.

Understandable! If you download the "free" version from the main files, you don't have to become a vampire or find the items, so if you like the castle, you can get it without the hassle.

I cant play because my skyrim wouldnt stop crashing despite my son reinstalling and removing all my mods to try to fix it. BUT! I still like to watch your videos !

Oh, no! I'm having an issue with my backup PC, where it won't load Skyrim. I think I am going to save the mods that aren't on my main computer and then restart from scratch on that one. My main computer had an issue with the drive that I cloned when a Windows update occurred, so I had to start from scratch downloading all of my mods... about 700, since I don't use a mod list, like most people are moving to today. I hope you can get your issue sorted!

Are you on PC, or Xbox/PlayStation?

If your on pc try going into your Skyrim data folder and deleting all of the files there before uninstalling and reinstalling the game as sometimes even if you uninstall the and reinstall the game certain files are kept and can cause issues. I had the same problem and doing this fixed it.

Nice, there was a Vampire Castle mod on the same exact land that Skystone Castle is that had a tiny quest underground. It wasn't this nice but it was Vampire themed. The display room set up was what i liked the most. Nothing fancy again but the way it was set up. Anyway, nice to see this one.

Was it his other home, Castle Malkast? I believe that may have occupied the same space, although I might be mistaken. It had kind of like a church area in the throne room?
@KennethJarvis-j9mКүн бұрын
@@SkyrimPlus No, i just loaded that also. The one i was talking about started with a V and was west of the western watch tower past the fort on the left. There was a door in a cliff leading under the castle to fight the Vampire Boss. I have never been able to find the mod again. I think it was deleted.

I think I know what you're talking about! I watched a Febrith Darkstar video on that a few years ago and thought it looked cool, but I wasn't on PC back then. But yes, that did seem neat! I can't recall the name, either.

It's really lovely, but like the author's last home, it's just too big and spread out. It's actually well-decorated for a place this big, but winds up feeling empty because of the size. Would make a decent follower warehouse, except there's not enough sleeping arrangements for them. I'd like to see this author take on a smaller house project, because they really have a knack for setting up quests and secrets and lore books. But the houses themselves are just too darn big.

I think it would be neat if he implemented a teleport system, like what Sjel Blad Castle or like Shalidor's Overlook uses. That way, you could more quickly get to where you're going. It would also be cool, but probably a hassle, to turn a room into the crypt into a follower's room once you've completed the quest. Maybe you could hire a steward to live in the steward's quarters, and one of the options with the steward could be purchasing an upgrade to the crypt for the followers room. Heck, maybe even make the teleportation system something you could buy.

Sheesh, I wonder how long it takes to create a mod like this?
@SkyrimPlusКүн бұрын
My guess would be a long time!!! 😆 This one was very intricate!

@@lfcmike12 He put out another stellar vampire home, Castle Malkast, on June 2nd, and updated it through June 30th, so my guess is he started this sometime around June/ July, so 6ish months.

The mercenary raiding mechanic reminds me of Dungeon Keeper. Do you know of any other homes that allow the player to create a lair, stock it with traps and enemies, and defend it against invaders?
@SkyrimPlusКүн бұрын
Off the top of my head, LC's mods give you the ability to fight enemies (like Become Jarl of Ivarstead, Citadel, and Become King of Riverhelm), but not on a schedule. You have to request an attack. Dragonborn Castle SSE has a request function, too, I think. Raven Castle has an optional quest at the beginning, although it's a little janky. If you get Blackthorn, you can build the town and hire guards, and it's near an AE zombie spawn point, so you can indirectly have attacks that way. If you like those random enemy spawns, I would definitely recommend the Sinister Seven mod. Although you better be on the lookout when you travel. Those fights can be very challenging and catch you offguard!

@@SkyrimPlus Right on! Dungeon Keeper is one of my favourite games, and I haven't found a game after DK II that scratched that evil base-building itch that DK does. There's a Morrowind Mod called Pimp My Shrine that lets the player build a Daedric shrine almost infinitely, but I love the invasion mechanics from this mod. Tundra Defense is pretty cool, but it's buggy (understandably so, with all that mod aims to do).
@SkyrimPlusКүн бұрын
@@EverydayMick I hope Skywind eventually comes out. I played Morrowind for a very short time period years ago and can't remember much, but I'd love to play it with a better engine and graphics. I haven't heard of Dungeon Keeper, so I will have to do a little research. I do love Daedra mods though! I can't wait to play Skyblivion or the remake by Bethesda to get reacquainted with Mankar Camoran and the Mythic Dawn!
