I'd say he had every right to hit her back. She initiated the entire debacle. He shouldn't be fired for defending himself. She was way out of line from the start for making a big scene over nothing. She was probably raised to be that way.

Well, she threw the first punch... Usually, its the customer that does. The guy is also in the wrong for being a full chimpout beforehand over seating. I would have been calling security and running behind bulletproof glass. They were both in the wrong.
