Oh you're gonna have a blast with violence in solo. It just devours the fear deck. It's so funny. T4/5 fear victories are not out of the ordinary.

The new aspects look like a lot of fun. I love Bringer especially in larger group games as it provides a steady drip of fear and reveal upcoming fear cards. This way my friends can fun just smashing invaders and exploring their spirits.

Heyy, could i ask for an increase of the volume of your videos? Every time i watch one of them i have to increase my PC volume a lot and then i get jumpscared when i watch another video. They are really quiet. I love them though and i cant wait to get and play with the NI spirits so i can watch your videos about those too!

Another part of the spirit design that points bringer towards that mayor power play is that "reclaim one" on growth options You can usually gain a mayor power on turn 2 with his unique card, use that mayor that turn and chose G2 on turn 3 to use that mayor AGAIN. If that mayor has big damage you could have generated A TON of fear :)

It's an epic combo!

I love this spirit, violence is so much fun. I love seeing the island super colonized and then having them up and leave a ghost town. Violence lets you ping ping towns early if you draft well. I love to play this in groups and race them with the fear deck.

Nice breakdown! Yeah just today I was playing a game where I got Indom on turn 2 and then just G2d a bunch to play it and way accelerate my growth vs England 3

Inticing is very similar to base bringer, but with reliable way to prevent ravages, especially against Invaders that focus on towns. But personally, I adore violence, more card plays and ridiculous amount of fear you can generate by moving explorers is great. Nothing's better than creating huge pocket of invaders, and throwing jungle hungers or similar power onto them, generating 20-30 fear from a single power.

I think that there are two ways of playing this spirit -- top (energy gain, major cards) and bottom (card play gain, minor cards). The innate [Night Terrors] is for the combo [Dreams of the Dahan] + [Call on Midnights Dream] + [Dread Apparitions] which, with x3 Dahan, and the innate, generates 9 fear + defence 9 + 6 real damage (due to Dahan) for 2 energy. But you'd only know that, if you were playing the bottom track!

I'm sad that it would require 2 entire dead spots on the track just for the opportunity to use 4 powers to solve... a single land. Not to mention you'd need to move the dahan there in the first place

I don't understand the "Bringer is weak in multiplayer games" sentiment. I get that his fear is proportionally less at higher player counts, but he can make up for that in other ways. For example, other spirits can plan their moves to take max advantage of the revealed fear cards. And giving his left innate element to another spirit can sometimes be just what they need. Bringer is high on my list of go-to spirits when I want someone to push things around the board. He has an easy time pushing explorers, towns, and even dahan. Yes he probably can't clear his board on his own, but the team will love it when he's pushing invaders into Ocean's mouth, or Lure's killzone, or Stone's retaliation land, or River's massive flooding, or... the possibilities are endless, and highly effective. Also I've recently discovered that he's a really fun choice for the Dahan Insurrection scenario. Most spirits start with one way to move dahan, some with zero, and a few with two. Bringer has two starting cards that move dahan, one on fast even. So ironically, that actually makes him fairly good at killing things in that scenario.

Bringer is weak in general (not just multiplayer) for several reasons. #1 The spirit is highly major dependent. If you miss on your majors, you're going to have trouble. #2 You can't play the powerful support minors. #3 Several bad matchups. Habsburg Livestock, Russia, and HME are pretty brutal for Bringer. Scotland and England can also be problematic if the games go very long since Bringer ends up taking quite a bit of blight. Once the land comes up again, it can't be solved. #4 Most spirits can win the game via clearing all buildings from their board (winning a TL2 victory). While the extra fear is nice, it isn't necessary. Bringer, on the other hand, must win a Fear victory since it is going to have issues dealing with its city lands. I find that the value other spirits get from knowing revealed fear cards doesn't make up for Bringers weaknesses of being unable to deal with their portion of lands or their ability to close out the game. I think both Bringer aspects are great improvements on a unique spirit.

Played bringer with dahan insurrection and actually being able to kill things was super nice. Im definitely not playing him right still (i need to internalize doing major power builds instead of minir builds)

I have a 3 spirit island set up to play solo rn with Earthquake, Ocean(Deeps), and Serpent(Locus). Ocean was the first spirit I played and have played the most, Serpent is my favorite, and Earthquake is what I wanted to use most from the expansion. Funny that they use all the new tokens on the board! That was even more an incentive to play all 3

Hey Red, I love your videos, they have really helped me up my spirit Island game, plus they are good fun to watch! However I was wondering, do you ever play with Scenarios? If not, why not? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them!

I also would love to know! And if you're playing scenarios, which combination of them with which adversary lvl6 would you say is the most fun?
@RedReVenge007 Жыл бұрын
I tend to not play Scenarios because they change the core puzzle too much. I see them as being an alternative way to play the game every once and a while, but not "standard SI". (Most of them aren't really balanced).

If only "Violence" would replace the right Innate instead...

When playing with friends, we struggle to find the correct difficulty and the game might stall out with few invaders, which is not fun. Games ending in terror level 3 or fear win with a massive wave of invaders on the board are great, winning when almost losing makes memorable games. Bringer brings this to the table! ... Its pretty weak tho, and has low variability. IMO not too complex.

Can you play both aspects on the same time or only one aspect per spirit?
