how did you safely ship your board game collection from Malta to the US? I may be in a similar situation soon.

sadly we didn't do it safely. we just got a bunch of double walled moving boxed and packed them in as best we could. for the most part it was fine, but a couple of boxes got slammed hard somewhere along the way and all of the games inside got mangled pretty hard. also, one box went overboard and never arrived. so it wasn't a pleasant experience, but helped reinforce a "they're just things" attitude i try to maintain now :)

It makes sense to add the disease where the beast left since this is the best dieing from disease.also the word replace means exchange one for the other.

Spirit Island is such a great game! I just got JE expansion for Xmas but have played with the B&C before. The one thing that keeps it from being a perfect expansion is the event deck. I feel like some of them are worded so vaguely that it kills any and all momentum. I haven't played with the "no event deck" variant yet though...

I just took out all of the "choice" event cards from my Event Deck, and it makes the flow soooo much smoother. It's so hard to explain what you are voting on anyways with those cards. Also, I read someone at BGG that did the work to make sure it didn't thin out your Event Deck to not have enough events that used Aspects like the claws, for instance.

Jagged Earth is such a great addition to the base game but it definitely needs Branch & Claw to work properly

What makes you say that? JE comes with all the B&C tokens, a bunch of event cards, etc. It’s designed to work with or without B&C. I would definitely recommend buying B&C first out of the two, since it’s a lower price point and probably a better intro to the new tokens, but you could totally skip it and go straight to JE if you wanted to.

All other videos i've seen are always wins. I bought the game and i'm desappointed that it's easy to win. What do you think?

I'd say this game actually has a bit of a learning curve, which makes it fairly difficult at first. Once you pick it up, playing the game on its base difficulty is fairly easy, but each adversary has scalable difficulty modes, so you can pump that up as hard as you want.

Do you gather or push in relation to your presence other wise it makes no sense you are simply moving into one space to another.

Gathering and pushing (as well as almost all other powers) work in relation to their target space. The target space usually has to be within a range of spaces away from presence or a sacred site, but otherwise presence doesn't really come into play. From that target location you are able to push or pull whatever the power allows you to.
