I can no longer hunt but that looks interesting. My biggest problem would be trying to find someone to install the thing and secure it so that the thieves couldn't steal it.

If Possible add a hand crank for manual operation in case a person's drill battery dies, Or the hunter needs be responsible and carry a ratchet and socket for manual operation. Just my thoughts! Great ingenuity!
@thomasjones30052 жыл бұрын
Lanyard for the drill, and where do you safely store the drill once up.. I have seen to many power tools dropped to know it will happen. You are dependent on that drill, protect it. And please encourage the owner to carry a spare battery.

Disabled persons who are dependent on wheel chairs usually develop good arm strength. You might look into using torque generated in this manner (i.e., turning the wheels installed on each side of the seat) in lieu of a drill driver to provide lift power. If you are going to use a drill driver, just keep it on a tether (keep a spare power pack in your bag).

Wow what a great product you guys made. I know a fellow who was in a logging accident that could use one of these. He lives to hunt and right now can only use a the big hunting blinds. I will show him your stuff. Great job

Very interesting rig.... one question, is there a manual override in the event that you arrive at the top and your drill dies or is dropped to the ground? Will it descend without the drill? Thanks, a lot of great thought and innovation went into this system, I hope it's selling great! Thumbs UP, thanks for sharing!

That is awesome. What happens if the tree has a lean or a bend? Do the joints between rails need to b perfect for it to go to the next rail smoothly?
@charlessweet96936 жыл бұрын
Could the seat swivel hand-wheel be designed to allow the operator to easily transfer it to the lift mechanism? It might provide sufficient torque for emergency descent. If this concept appears feasible, the hand-wheel should be designed for easy detachment from the swivel mechanism and secure attachment to the lift mechanism. Wishing you future success, Chuck

I was going to suggest bring an extra half inch drive and socket. But I like your idea better.

I really like the why you swivel the seat. If you had an outer ring of camoflage around you to hide your movement this swivel seating system would be nice even on a non handy cap stand. So many times the deer come in. On the wrong side and you could instantly. Move your seating without moving your body. Be nice
