My grandfather used to sing this song each and every morning when he would rise with the sun and I at the time did not understand the words but now I do and sing it each morning when the sun rises. I cry after, but not with sadness its with happiness. Rip my grandpa.

Neliel Yes, I too look to the sky. And ask the great creator to guide and heal the ones who have lost the true way's. The earth does not belong to man . Man belongs to the earth. It is out of love and respect for the land and all life here. That we must overcome this evil of bad men. Only, if we come/stay together in heart and stand strong against the bad doings of man. Teach them, help them understand that greed is killing our home.. and their is another way. There has always been another way.. Some men have never known the way to peace and respect for this land. Only tought selfishness.. If I can help one person change their evil ways. I have helped many. For this us what I ask for every gifted day I'm alive. We take from the day. So, we must give back to the day. Peace be with you 🤗

In stealth I walk on concrete. Look closely, many of us remain. The blood of our ancestors is more diluted now, but the spirit in it is stronger than ever. We are all related. Always will be. It is true that Lakota Sioux has a long history, and perhaps a longer future. The white eyes took our women from us. Our women took their children from them. In an inipi vision I have seen the end. Fear Not! Greed, Power, Money and Control is fleeting and no match for Nature, Love and the Great Spirit.

Indigenous cultures are so beautiful! I hope Indigenous cultures will thrive. I am Colombian. Colombian mainstream culture has absorbed some Indigenous practices. And the best parts of my culture: the music, the colours, the importance of family, and the love for nature, this all comes from our Indigenous roots. When the Spanish came, they were very sick :( they were obsessed with Gold. I hope that those of us who carry this spiritual sickness in our DNA can heal and learn to love again.

My grandmother is in the hospital and I can't see her because of the restrictions due to COVID. I've been watching her from miles away. Seeing her in a white light of protection and praying she gets better. For no more bleeding. No more clots. For her organs to not fail her. For her strong spirit to bring her back home to us. I want more days sitting on the swing with her and talking about life. More days hearing her laugh and enjoying her animals. She's my precious person. I can't lose her!

My son was badly colicky as an infant..he would only calm down and sleep to my Native American CDs..mostly flute and drums..at 2 he went to preschool..wouldn't nap or settle down until I gave teacher a copy of some Native music..he napped every day with it playing. My son is Lakota mixed..I believe he somehow felt the ancestors in these songs and music. He loved this one as well. Such a great way to soothe your soul, any age

+I-Love-CO Mountains mother earth yes i will always give it up to her, but i also believe that grandfather/chief who led his people to grateness and prosperity... look up the storie no moccossins and u will see that both the great mother and grandfather both deserve thanks for they give us the wisdom and the strength to move forward and to prosper... u cant have one without the other.... and to state that calling grandfather as such is christian or a stem of would be absolutly rediculous
@i-love-comountains38509 жыл бұрын
+Kt okay cool i was just wondering because of the way that male-centric christianity that was brutally forced on the native peoples' culture. i was hoping the references to the great father and great grandfather were their own organic spiritual views, and not a product of the visceral annhilation of their people, culture, and way of life.
