I hope you continue to find things that help with your anxiety! Music bringing us to tears is such a profound experience. Always, always follow that feeling -- I let anxiety and fear affect my physiology so I always try to chime in and encourage others if I can, because it's super important. Remember you deserve to feel better, you have as much a right to exist the exact way you want as anyone else as long as you aren't harming other beings, and anxiety creates lies in our minds that don't deserve to take up the space there. Sorry if that's too much, but it may help someone else even if it doesn't help you. :) Take care!

As an Irishman I met a woman of the Haudenosaunee nation (more commonly known as Iroquois). We talked at length about our ancient cultures and I told her how I had always felt the Ancient culture of the Gaels and other Celtic peoples was very similar to that of the Northeastern tribes of North America (mayhaps other areas but my primary knowledge of Native American culture is of the Iroquois). And to my surprise she agreed and was versed quite well in both histories. Hurling being similar to Lacrosse, Iroquois matrilinear traditions being similar to that of the ancient Picts and of Celtic respect for women in general (Boudicca, Maeve, Brigid, Grace O'Malley, Scatha, etc) and the ancient pagan ways of the Celts and their reverence for nature, bodies of water, animism, etc. and the similar beliefs of the Native Americans. The Celts did not use standing structures as places of worship but instead designated specific places like lakes, tree groves and sacred hills as religious spots.

I wish it wasn't so but too many people don't understand what Paganism is. After years of disillusionment and pain brought on by modern organized religion and especially it's practitioners I've come to identify closer with Pagans than any other group.

I was born in Jamaica and found out about 8 years ago that my great, great , great grandfather was one of @ 300 Cherokees shipped to the same exact countryside that I was born in. He was one of @ 300 Cherokees who fought in the American Revolution & were sold to this British colony as slaves by the Americans, after they won the war. The Americas is complicated and I am so happy I learned about him before I died. I look like an African descent woman but you can see in our family's eyes and cheek bones our Native lineage. What a beautiful and mysterious life we are all here to experience!

I too am Indian but from a tribe that was destroyed and not recorded into history. The only thing that exist today are their bloodlines hidden in our DNA that still roam the world none the less. I feel your pain as my ancient Iroquois and Algonquian ancestors were removed from history itself because of the unfair treatment it was not note worthy to preserve a culture that lived in peace and harmony with nature for 1000s of years before any outside influence. The only Iroquois relatives today were the ones that interbreed with other cultures who were settling in the north eastern territories. There is no living tribes for any Iroquois to claim lineage through to claim any of the government lands set aside for the Iroquois people to continue their culture. Making me a hairless, high check boned, highly spiritual year round tanned white man which is fine with me but I hope that no group of people must ever suffer what the Iroquois endured, having their civilization destroyed, their beliefs gone. Their culture to which very little survived to be passed down by living Iroquois. Everything is a one sided approach to history as it was written by non Native American Indians. I am sure if you let the real Indians such as the Iroquois write the history books they would be very different. The real truth is we robbed, raped, killed our way into this great country and recorded history very incorrectly wiping out 1000s of years of culture and history in the process. Truth will have its final day in this reality.

I tested my DNA, this is how I have this information. My DNA does not match up to any Iroquoian people alive today nor Algonquin. However my DNA has the same markers that they contain which means at one point the DNA I have was part of the Iroquoian/Algonquin gene pool. I wouldn't expect you to understand how DNA works but it doesn't lie people do. This information was passed down to my family going back 4 generations. I have no proof other than my DNA and the fact you can tell I am Indian. Do your own research idiot over 90% of all the Iroquoian people were wiped out when the English arrived, you are stupid if you don't think it possible that countless tribes and cultures were wiped out. Yeah some survived, but not the ones linked to my DNA. There is no living trace of a tribe that exist in present today. Do your own research before you call someone out on something you don't even know anything about.Whenever you judge another you are only defining yourself.

I take no pleasure in arguing with a child or someone with the reasoning of, you only have insults and hatred in your heart. Get a ancestry.com membership I will send you my DNA and you can follow my family tree yourself then insert your foot into your mouth at that point. I also have photos of my great great grand mother as you can see for yourself. Do your own research before you call someone out on something you don't even know anything about.Whenever you judge another you are only defining yourself. Sometimes it is better to sit silent and appear stupid, than to open your mouth and resolve all doubt. Here are some real facts about native american history that prove you are "full of shit", nativeyouthmagazine.com/pastpresentfuture.htm . Most Native American cultures were comprised of what are now referred to as "nations" or "confederacies". Larger groups of natives with similar geographic ranges and lifestyles generally came together to form nations, with more specific denominations created in some instances. For example, the Iroquois were technically classified as a nation or a confederacy in European terms, however they also broke into five unique nations as well.
@JoshuaLucion
@JoshuaLucion 7 жыл бұрын
You can't say anything else without proving my point further. You didn't even read the native american history link I posted. That sheds light on the fact that many tribes were absorbed into the Iroquoian nation. Little to nothing is known about the history of these tribes prior to the this merge. Once they merged they took up the customs of the Iroquoian people, as many tribes were fragmented or destroyed all together. First off you don't know me. 2nd All your assumptions are wrong about native american history and lastly why are you full of so much hatred? You obviously aren't native american, and based on how you communicate you are probably a teenager. You obviously don't have a ancestry.com account because you would already know you cannot access other peoples DNA. You have to download the raw data file of your DNA then email it. Ancestry.com doesn't have enough Native American genes on file to identify which tribe you come from. Only that you are native american. I am living proof to my claims, you are living proof to the ignorance that corrupts this world. If anyone wants my RAW DNA file to see what native american gene's look like feel free to email me at Joshwl1981@hotmail.com as I will gladly share my heritage, as I am living proof. I am proud to have this bloodline flowing through me. Thankful that these song's are available so that their beauty and spirit can still be felt today.

Hardly, I keep getting this red box pop up every time you respond to me. As if common sense will reach you regardless of how long I try, a day, a week, perhaps years. No amount of time will get through a head as thick and as stubborn as your own. I sent the information you asked for, Gave you my ancestry and your still trying to come up with a way to effect me. The burden of proof is on you, as I have given you the evidence you asked for. This will be my final comment before finding someway to block your responses as I am done trying to argue with stupidity. You will only drag me down to your level of ignorance. Good luck on a hard life.
