I'm a bit late watching this week, for one reason or another, but that was another nice fly-in video. It is always good to see an active Tiger Moth.

Thank you Robert and sorry I didn’t actually capture the Moth landing.

Another delightful watch Tim, the SHIELD XYLA appears to be quite rare must look up the history, The vision of one Yorkshireman, George Shield, was translated into this neat single-seater. It is a wooden aircraft, for the most part, hence the name Xyla, from the Greek for wood. Chris.

Thanks Chris for the complement and the lesson. I didn’t know that. Never too old to learn!

You have done well this year with the weather Tim and the flying too . Another good turnout and some interesting types again , in particular the Thruster , the likes of which I haven’t seen for a long time here . I have to adjust my viewing times by half an hour next week as we will be on South Australia time as we do our family duties across there in Adelaide . All my best wishes Tim , and thanks for sharing this very enjoyable video .

A few familiar aircraft there Tim. Nice landing at the desert strip of Nayland 🙂

Nayland is very brown and I don’t think I have known it so dry and hard.

Super as always Tim, loved seeing the TST, brought back some happy memories. Didn’t look like the most relaxing flight back… Hoping to be back in the U.K. soon. With luck will get a chance to fly the new Sluka. Well not so new but new to me

Thanks Tim for another thoroughly enjoyable video. Seems it was a great day to watch a huge range of aircraft fly in and out, it has been such a restrictive time over the last couple of years. You do seem to have a beautiful part of the country to fly over albeit with its fair share of speed bumps. See you next week.

Lovely video Tim! What height were you flying - it looked around 1,500 ft to me? P.S. I liked the new tune too ...
@JodelFlyer2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mike. You are right, I think most of that flight was between 1500 and 2000.
@jeffbridges6662 жыл бұрын
Tim, how do you get the landing trajectory correct on an upwards slopping runway
@JodelFlyer2 жыл бұрын
I basically aim for the slab at the bottom then flare higher than normal and let the aircraft sink onto the slope. Well that’s the idea but odd winds can make that more challenging!
