Deliverance does not end with casting out spirits, the bible says that if they find the vessel( the delivered) empty, clean and well garnished they come with spirits more powerful to occupy. The real victory in deliverance is to fill the delivered with the Holyspirit so that the vessel (delivered) is no more empty. Note, a beliver filled with the Holyspirit cannot be possesed again. The body/vessel can only house one spirit. The next step is to work on the person's mind because though one cannot be possesed again, the devil can build strongholds around a person's mind. This needs to be worked upon through the word of God and teachings. You will find addictions, wrong mindsets, wrong associations leave naturally when you experience deliverance in these aspects.

The body can house more than one spirit. In the Bible Jesus cast out a legion spirit from a man and there were thousands in him. When you have the Holy Spirit you become one with Him so it's your spirit and the Holy Spirit as one, but a person can have more than just one spirit. I agree about the vessel needing to be filled once they leave. That's why at the end of these deliverances they usually say "let the light of God come and fill him/her up now."

Hallelujah! One tip that I hope that people doing a deliverance ministry can learn is to rely on the Holy Spirit to reveal who the demons are. I was reading an article and the writer said that the demons can lie to either not get cast out or so that only the smaller ones leave and the strongman stays. Jesus did ask the demon to reveal himself in Mark 5, but demons lie to us anyways, so we should trust them to give in when we're trying to finally get rid of them ❤ We have to cast out all demons in the mighty name of Jesus.

I experienced this for the very first time last night with some godly leaders from my church. It was a mocking spirit that manifested. It was very frightening! When it first manifested itself i could see its face in the face of one of the women praying over me. It frightened me to the point that I was trying my hardest to get away from it. I couldn’t even look at it. 3 and a half hrs later I was finally delivered of this evil demon! It would not let go. It revealed that it’s been attached to me since I was in the womb. It came through an opening my mother allowed. It specifically wouldn’t give up our finances. It was brutal. By the time it was over I was drained. It kept hitting and scratching my face and pulling my hair. Wow!

As long as we are alive on this earth we also have our carnal nature or flesh in us also know as the outer man acting as a fifth column within us 2nd cor 14:16 "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day" Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. so this what Jesus meant by carry your cross and follow me if we want to truly follow Christ we have to crucify our flesh and deny our carnal nature that wants to rebel against God and obey his commandments ie love your lord your God with all your heart and soul and loves your neighbours and enemies as your self. it is impossible for our outer man to do this with willpower or self-control for if done by the flesh it will lead to self-righteousness and pride. When Jesus left, he told that he would send a helper to guide us and comfort us in our trials. He is God on earth only member of the Godhead which on earth at the moment with us on earth. The holy spirit is not meant just to speak in tounges or just the use of any other gift of the spirit (which is secondary)but is primarily our personal guide who is supposed to be an integral part of our decision making the process of our life.

He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me." For we are warned that in the last days there will be many who will fall from the true faith by seduced by deceiving spirits. The where seduced by deceiving spirits because they never chastised their flesh which will always be the fifth column till the day our Lord returns. If we do not follow the guidance of the holy spirit in every aspect of our life, then we will end in flesh holy spirit was given to us not only to lead us in prayer or to speak in tongues but also to guide us in every aspect of life and we need the power of God to overcome the flesh, the world and Satan . If we are not lead by the spirit then our flesh will take over. For Jesus spoke of people are neither warm or cold this refers to Christians who have the power of flesh working in them and never allowed the spirit to lead them or chastise their flesh Rev 13:6 KJV "So then because of thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

I come from a missions background in Honduras. In personal experience, possession is always very obvious. We encountered a 10 year old boy who was possessed and he attacked a kid who had a 100 pounds on him. The 10 year old picked the guy up with one hand by the neck and attempted to kill him. It took 5 grown men to restrain the boy. Demons are real but possessions are rare.

Our body is the house of our spirit. When we sin, we open the doors to our house and wicked spirits come in. We have no way to know how many or the name unless God reveals the signs to us and/or we ask permission to help the possessed person, ask the name of the wicked spirits controlling them and then command them to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. I guess knowing the name reveals the type of sin that the person is doing in order to have gotten those types of demons. 🤔

Before I was saved, we did this in hypnotherapy. Now that I am saved and learned that it is terrible to do that if they don’t have the Holy Spirit... I thought we as Christians aren’t meant to talk to demons and just rebuke in prayer over them??

Jesus asked a demon what its name was (legion). They ask to get revelation of how the enemy operates and also so the person knows what doors they came through. My dad used to do do hypnotherapy and said he could see demons. I don't think he led people to the Lord afterward, so I agree - this should only be done if they already are Christian or are led to salvation.
