If you want to really get into the life of the Native Americans, the trials and tribulations. You should read Russell Means book Where White Men Fear to Tread. Let me warn you, he tells how the white man government has screwed the brown folk of our nation. If you have any morals it make you so pi$$ed off that you want to throw the book across the room and leave it for a few days to mull over it.

@@lesliehilesgardener6959 I have a deep grudge against Jehovah's Witnesses as my two daughters converted and since I didn't want to convert they shunned me and I don't believe they should rule the world as they are trying to do. I'm 70 years old and left alone to wipe my tears. I'm fortunate enough to have Attikamewk neighbors and I encourage them in anyway I can to keep their language and their family ties. I believe European religion and American cults did more harm than good to our nations as they try to remodel minds into their own resemblance witch is very ugly and hypocritical as they serve evil. The Bible they wrote themselves in one hand and a gun in the other. 🪔
@wotan202 жыл бұрын
I believe Jesse is a fitting symbol of Native Americans' travails ever since the Europeans set foot on the NA continent. Alienation, even the depth of self hatred too. The movie has a positive outlook though: The gentle, correcting guidance of his grandpa, the occasional stolen kiss from a lovely girl, the bold challenge by another badly adjusted young native man, and let's not forget that beautiful black horse reminding me Friesian horses, who will only yield to those, who have the wisdom, humanity and the self discipline of a good Human. I can blabber about this movie endlessly, praising the story rich texture for example, or for not shying away about the current debates over various issues within the community. And of course the inspired playing all around. All I can say, thank you and God be with you all!

Great movie! As an American white man that dated and beautiful Native American LADY & opened my mind and heart open to understanding what really has happened to the Native American people! This really tells the truth about them and only some of what they have gone through!!! More Americans should really learn what REALLY happened to Native American people and their culture! It is still going on, but there is a time and place a century later that the Native American people must stop thinking that they are owned and become strong people that they really use to be! I say this because I LOVE THE NATIVE AMERICAN PEOPLE! IN FACT STILL LOVE THE NATIVE AMERICAN LADY THAT I GAVE MY SOUL TO! BUT WE ARE NO LONGER TOGETHER

I Love this movie. It reminds me of my part Choctaw Father. When he was alive, when I was a little girl, he would break in and train horses for Barrel racing, and rode in rodeos. My favorite Stallion horse he had, was named BoeJoe. He was red with a whit diamond shape on his nose, and part of a small right front white sock. Beautiful horse. My father learned & lived the a lot of the Choctaw old ways from my great grandparents. 🕊️🇮🇱❤️🕎🐎 Such a great movie with inspiration in learning lessons that foster Unity, True Brotherly Love and maturity growth through tough times that often get misunderstood until we experience the indepth understanding of every matter. With True Love their is Healing and Hope! 🕊️♥️🕎

🇬🇧 I loved this film! Its for any age group, im 68 & i watched it with my 16 yr old grandson & we loved it Great to see Graham Green in this film, plus a whole bevvy of very good Native American actors, I loved the characters esp Jessie Paul & the gorgeous Camilla Cant remember the actor who played jessies grandfather but ive seen him in many good roles Im sure i read that Graham Green is a real member of the Ojibwa tribe, correct me if im wrong. There are some good lessons to be learned in this film About Belonging, Acceptance, Forgiveness, Sacrifice, I think the only people who will still survive after the apocalypse Or another bringer of the ending of our corrupt & savage civilisation will be the Native American & other such people who have the same values & chose to live off the land & off grid. Lets hope so, then with good people who can start a new civilisation, it will be a better start than all the previous ones Thank you, This film was very good 🇬🇧👧
