I have watched this movie 100 of times ever since I was a little kid!! I have always wanted a Mustang and Watched Honeyheartsc and her getting spirit in SSO. Just made me happy. Spirit is an awesome horse!!

Yeah I used to love it (spirit riding free) when it first came out but then.. I think they ruined Spirit.. I mean, Spirit will be wild forever, and will not be ridden anymore, but in spirit riding free it's the opposite. I wouldn't be surprised if they make Spirit wear a saddle honestly.

Quite honestly, as an equestrian, I’ve never watched it. I do know that some guys capture him, but that’s it. Really looking forward to it!

It’s so good. Yes it’s your average wild horse movie, but this is THE wild horse movie. Always brings tears to my eyes, and it has so many memories for me. 21 years later and it’s still probably one of the best horse movies out there

First! I will update once I watch lol Edit: I agree with everything you said. I love it when movies with animals have little to no talking and are realistic! The whole move is animated amazingly especially for the 2002 and I hope to get better at even just editing videos like buying horses on sso! I think you should make more vids like this, I really enjoyed it.

I've watched Spirit so many times over the years, and this movie has inspired me to keep riding horses and do what I love. (Witch is riding horses) I have cried, so many times when I have watched this movie, and I am still so glad that this movie is still inspiring younger kids to do their passion just like me! Also, I love the Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron remake of Star Stable that you did! Both the movie and the remake are incredible! I will forever remember this movie! Edit: I cried while writing this comment and you got a new subscriber. Also, every time I watch this movie, I cry when Spirit gets put on the train, and when Rein (Or Rain) almost dies near the river.

Growing up with this movie meant so much to me, especially as an indigenous child and seeing and having that specific understanding the results of colonization. The indigenous representation and symbolism of Spirit himself made me feel seen. It will always be a favorite.

I really liked this video! As a movie nerd myself I lovvvve hearing Luther people’s take on cinematics, music, animation, and overall character building/development. The summary was well done, and pointing out some of the downsides to the movie brought it all back to the movie review element. One of my favorite films as well and I so far I am loving your recreation of it!🩵

In my life, I've only watched this movie once (when I was like- 9) even tho the show (Spirit Riding Free) was kinda garbage, it was nice to see Dreamworks come back to the movie after so long and start Spirit's story again in another way. I think I'm gonna rewatch the movie after YEARS now, cya!

​@@haleykittenhope I do understand your viewpoint when it comes to Rain, but I think one of the reasons most feel sorry for her when she gets shot is because people tend to be sensitive when it comes to animal deaths (even if she ends up surviving). Although I do wish that more could have been done with Rain's character, it would be unfair to say that nothing was done with her. The film showcases her bond with Little Creek through their playful interactions, as well as her anger towards Spirit when he charges at Little Creek. Additionally, Rain is the only one that Spirit listens to, despite his strong desire to return home, allowing her to show her life in the village to him. And even when she's starting to show affection to Spirit she's still hesitant to leave her home and when the village is attacked shortly after she immediately rushes to Little Creek's aid despite Spirit trying to stop her. This is about everything I can list, but I do believe that some consideration and care were given to Rain's character. The issue lies in the limited screen time she receives to truly shine, but even so, I still love her.

I 100% agree with you! Rain definitely had some fun parts shown to her character. Whether it be her protective nature, or charming quirks, she isn't just some blank slate standing in the background. I definitely was not trying to make the point that Rain's character is irrelevant, because she is NOT. She does play a role in the story, however, the only reason I say that she is the "least developed" is because she doesn't have a character arc, making her a supporting character. I did enjoy reading your point of view though, thank you for sharing! :)@@marthamanx
