1:38:44 bottle adventure is a different glitch that got discovered before reverse bottle adventure and iirc for technical reasons is similar to RBA also thanks to the ALBW community for "house of gales skip skip skip". iirc there was a "house of gales skip skip skip skip" but it was slower

So I have a curiosity/technical question. Close to the beginning of the run, you talk about things that should probably be in the 100% definition but are not because they are awful to do (or something like that). It made me curious, I wonder what you mean, and as I don't know much about Spirit Tracks, I would like to know how exactly they are awful, considering that, well, rabbits per example, are awful too, so what's the difference? Thanks in advance, this game is very interesting to me to discover new stuff about it ^^

Yeah so to clarify this a bit. Letters are a problem for a reason I was actually unaware of at the time (I didn’t make the definition). Mainly that 3 of the letters are locked behind battle mode, making them impossible to collect single player. Also, there are the beedle membership letters which essentially add nothing but pointless money/potion grinding. So they don’t add much. For train cars, they’re just a nightmare in general. They rely on treasures which have rng spawns and spawn randomly in chests (every time you open a chest, it’s a random treasure from a certain rarity). So if you added them, the run adds 3+ hours of painful grinding. Obv, a “true 100%” of this game would include them, but for the sake of runners sanity, and general fun, we just exclude them.

​@@WobmiarFor the treasures it's even worse. Everytime you start a save file the game sort of generates a seed of what treasures will be common and which will be rare. Say 1 playthrough for a big chest location, you might get a gold coin, but the next for the same location you might get a mystic jade. However, the train parts have a set list of treasure exchanges. The intent behind this design was to encourage players to connect to other players and exchange treasures while the console was in sleep mode, a bit like an early version of 3ds spotpass. Safe to say that most people didn't use that and instead had to rely on the in-game lottery and beedle to get remaining treasures, which if I had to estimate would require at least 2 hours of buying lottery tickets, shutting off the console and changing the date until you get the treasure. All of this to get train parts that only give you a bit more train health. Phantom hourglass has the exact same issue with boat parts and I'm sure it's not in the 100% definition there either.

@@Laenthor Good lord the seed for my save file just does NOT give me pearl necklaces it's maddening. really hate this mechanic. although it did make finishing my black train set that much more satisfying, I can't be assed to finish the gold train set tho even tho I have every other treasure needed for it, except for those damn pearl necklaces
