Hey man I know spirit tracks might not be the biggest and most watched Zelda Speedrun but I just want you to know I really appreciate and love watching these runs, I watched the entire thing and it's really always just relaxing and helps me destress. Man that Beedle reset at the end probably saved this run. Turns out Beedle was the true hero of Hyrule all along.

this brings back so many memories of my first zelda game. i was about 6 when i completed this so seeing everything optimized makes me wanna rerun and try 100% possibly. amazing run!

If they ever remake this game i hope they do more with the Demon Train as it is so iconic just to be used in 1 cutscene near the beginning game and the fight at the end as it was such a menacing looking threat at the beginning only to never be used. Like they could make it to where occasionally you have to run away from it like survive which would make fighting it at the end all the more satisfying

I feel like encountering it over and over would take away from the gravity of the boss itself, but I do think we should see it more. I think the ideal result would be to have the train make changes to the world during cutscenes.

@@daedalus_void I mean the boss don't really have any gravity as it appears twice before the boss fight when the tracks disappears and cole boards it then the boss fight. Like no build up at all in side quests or lore that it is just a lackluster fight considering it was already shown to the player and they never see it so they get a false sense of danger as all the tracks disappeared first. Just more build up to the train as a threat and not a random giant Demon that suddenly you now have to chase is all i am really asking Hell maybe if climbing the tower of spirits suddenly it starts shooting at you as you are reaching the top before Cole jumps on it and runs away, like just anything more to make it not feel like a wasted concept, as what even is or was the point of the Demon Train in the first place? It's supposed to be semi sentient not a mindless mook

Most of that time simply came from a combination of better gameplay and optimization and Wii U loading times. Recently the new glitches pushed the run down another 10 minutes or so.

Is there a way to break the train movement? It's a different game than Wind Waker, but train skip would save a lot of time

I just whonder? Whud it not be faster just lure over the phantom to one of the safe spots and swing as it turn's. Cus you get the same effect as if you have all the tear's.

Honestly mate i can still not figure out how to properly do the duet songs, which is why i would probably never speedrun this game. Though i gotta ask, any reason to not skip the heart containers at the end of the dungeon?

The extra hearts seem to be for safety with the trick used in the Sand Temple at 3:27:06, to make sure he doesn't die. But it also just makes the run overall less risky down the line, same as other Zelda speedruns that grab them after bosses. Only takes 4 seconds to grab each, so it's not too big a time loss. It'd only really come down to it in a shorter or more optimized run. There are 5 boss Heart Containers in the game, so it'd only save 20 seconds in total (16 in this run, since he skips the Sand Temple heart), but I think it cancels out, because you don't have to worry about dying as much, which he would have a few times throughout the run with just 3 hearts.
