As far as I know, the reason Ryanair do hard landings is because a lot of pilots are new so they are still learning how to properly maneuver a plane so they end up doing hard landings.

As a big time flyer of Ryanair,i must say it’s better then what you think, i mean the food is alright the lasagna is a thing that is the only good thing if you scoop it up on a pringle after you mixed your cheese with the lasagna, the hard landings are not really a thing with Ryanair, you would have rather a bumpy landing but i never experienced a hard landing flying with Ryanair.

It's not that spirit MERGED with JetBlue... They merged with FRONTEIR and ALLEGIANT, but then JetBlue bought the trip and currently owns them. So technically, when you fly Spirit or Frontier or Allegiant, you technically fly JetBlue.

See the main difference between them is this; There aren’t as many options in the US for air travel as there is in Europe, almost every country in the EU and in Europe has a government subsidized national flag carrier, and more than likely, they’re flying the same routes that Ryanair does with a few exceptions, but these airlines are hub and spoke vs the point to point model. In the US, there are other options to fly better than Spirit and people choose those options. In Europe/EU, there are other options, and people choose Ryanair anyway. That’s the difference
