I’ve analyzed the lyrics for “Circle With Me” and my interpretation is that the song is about Mortal Kombat. The weight of the martyr is the heaviness of the burden of having to battle for the Earth Realm in Kombat. “Hands are frozen but feel no pain” is clearly referencing Sub Zero. “No heat when I escalate “ is Liu Kang’s struggle to control his fire magic as he rises higher up the Mortal Kombat tower toward more difficult opponents. “Not strong enough to hold the flame” is another reference to this. The “birds of prey” could either be referencing the pterodactyls of the Outworld or just vultures in general circling Kombatants who have fallen in battle. “Feeling the power of a dying sun to climb the altar and claim my place” is likely referring to Liu Kang finally controlling his special abilities (flame magic). The power wells up inside of him to finally defeat every opponent and save Earth. “This could all be yours” is the spoils of becoming the tournament champion and the prestige of defending the Earth Realm from invaders from Outworld.
