Love seeing non metal people get in to Spiritbox. If you want a song with some painful lyrics, watch the video for Constance or Blessed Be. Two songs I think you’ll love.

Uuugghh both of those...cannot listen without getting emotional.

Definitely one of the best vocalists/bands today

I have seen them live in Pittsburgh. The best part is... they sound just as good live as recorded. One of the best concerts I've been to in this genre. Constance still makes me cry.

I don’t normally go for the pop metal stuff, but this song is absolutely incredible. And I’m with you, there’s something so deep and monumental sounding to the sound of it

Spiritbox rules. They’re a husband/wife team, Courtney being the vocalist/lyricist, and her husband Mike playing guitar/writing/composing. They’ve previously played in a band called Iwrestledabearonce, but both have other bands they were in previous to that too. Courtney was in a band with her brother called Unicron, and Mike played in Fall In Archaea, as well as a pop punk band called Kickflip. They’re personal friends of mine, so I always watch people reacting to their stuff.

Haven't listened to this genre of music since I used to with my oldest daughter in her late teens/early 20s.(she's now 32) I really enjoyed this song and her voice is beautiful, even while she's screaming.

At the risk of sounding somehow racist or, whatever, I LOVE seeing Black people get into metal music. Where at a point in society now where the historically Black dominated music genre of rap has come mainstream and branched out to peoples of all race and became so diverse. I would love to see that happen more with metal.

You were right on with super saiyan, the words when she starts screaming there are: "I have the power of a dying sun, I climb the alter and claim my place as god"

Shoutout Jared, thanks for suggesting this one for sure

If you like this kind of screaming and instrumentals I'd recommend Architects. They're one of the progenitors of metalcore and Spiritbox took a fair amount of inspiration from them. Sam Carter has a really distinct screaming style that's actually really legible, and Tom Searle was one of the best songwriters before his untimely death in 2016. Lost Forever//Lost Together and All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us are their best albums by far. Naysayer, Broken Cross, and Gravedigger off LF//LT; Gone With The Wind, and A Match Made In Heaven off AOGHAU are the songs you'd most likely enjoy. Everyone will also suggest Doomsday but I feel like people need to listen to at least a couple of the others first.

Loved your reaction and breakdown. Beautifully done. Please, can you react to Blessed Be & Constance by Spiritbox? These 2 songs are so beautifully emotionally haunting. I would love to see and hear your reactions to those two songs as well🖤

May I recommend Jinjer "Pisces?" I first got into Jinjer then found Spiritbox. Both are female fronted, and Tati is a BEAST, both in vocals and false folds ("screaming"). Pisces one take is an excellent intro into Jinjer! You'll get a lot of views too. This video content is highly sought by uberfans like me. DONT WATCH AHEAD. Go in blind. I promise you, it's worth it.

Please try this one: "Hotel California" by The Eagles Live in 1998. You really have to listen to the hidden meaning [fame, drug abuse, etc] in the lyrics though! It's epic.
