2:50 That “90’s jungle beat” you’re referring to is the “Amen break”, the most reused drum sample ever from a song called “Amen Brother” by The Winstons. It’s been used thousands of times in many different songs. Even the Powerpuff Girls theme song has it 😂

Love your content! You are the reaction channel I anticipate videos from and I absolutely adore this community you’ve created. You are a content creator that I feel has merit and doesn’t phone it in. Your passion comes through and I relate to it 100% because I find myself feeling the same. You asked for bands that don’t do the same ol sh*t and you’re sick of deathcore, I’d recommend Rolo Tomassi - “A Flood of Light”. They share similarities with Spiritbox in that they are female fronted and they push the genre. Although they are experimental/post hardcore lol. I’m also a Patron and have recommended this song in 3 polls. I’ve just taken the L’s til now but the last few statements you had in this video fits this recommendation to a T and I couldn’t help but comment. Either way, I’ll keep supporting you and I look forward to everything you do next!

What is cool about this song is it scratches the hardcore genre, hints of Deftone guitar structure, and keeps everything simple to the point while keeping to the strengths of the band. If the band were to keep releasing clean chorus songs with breakdowns it would get stale fast but this separates the style well and really makes the other released songs better. Blessed be becomes a stronger song now with this release.

wow, my contact with spiritbox has not been a lot yet, but little throw-ins like that little DrumnBass part @ 2:42 are kinda what I love for. They overdo it sometimes a little with the "brutalz", you know, just downtuned string chugging, it gets boring to me very quickly, but I am open to hear more. Also that Video looks like a cross between Midsommar and Blair Witch Project lol
