I've watched this video like 10 times and I can't get enough of this amazing tone! I was always a fan of F#0 bass tones but its so rare to find this on the internet, even today! My dream is to find someone playing 22 Faces with this beautiful tone, that was such a brutal song for me. It must be amazing to play on bass!

The advantage of a pick is apparent with being able to play notes faster up and down but I love the way it sounds without a pick

I always love your bass tone, it's so good. I never have gotten around to using digital plugins or a DAW much at all. Drop F# is pretty low, is that the lowest spiritbox has done? I'm used to playing Ab/G# for most of their songs but that's mostly because Rocksmith doesn't like to detect much lower than Ab/G# 😅

I have a Dingwall D-roc 5 string that I’m modifying to fit a .150 gauge string to play in drop F and E. Do you think I will still get bad fret buzz?

I can't help but feel like while this low of a tuning makes the guitar very menacing and stuff the lower notes of the bass go so low to sub territory that even telling notes apart becomes very hard. Like I can tell the chord by the guitar, but the note of the bass tells me little about it. I could barely distinguish the root from the minor third at one point. I mean the fundamental is at 46 hertz (!) so you really have to rely on some distortion to add harmonics and be heard. I still enjoy the music a lot, I just feel the bass side of things ends up a little too burried. I also really appreciate the courage the go this low too lol. Great playing and tone here!
