I would normally say poor sound quality because obviously recorded on the phone but it’s definitely the composition of the drums. I’ve heard this song played live many other times, and it’s the same result. This dude is playing way too hard on the mellow parts. And I mean WAY too hard. There’s no nuance in his playing and the choices he’s making are very questionable. I personally think they need a better and much more professional drummer.

They desperately need a better drummer. I’ve heard this dude play on so many other live videos with better quality and it’s always the same. No nuance and bad choices in composition. I absolutely love this band and they deserve to have a drummer that fully embraces the sound that they’re going for.
