I think Haku knew that they will never see each other again but he need to make a promise just to let Chihiro go. He knew all along that if Chihiro know that fact she will not go, and she will be dead in the real world. He loves Chihiro unconditionally that he is willing to let her go for her own safety even when the consequences is not seeing each other again. That kind of love is just so pure and true. Im gonna stop, it's so heartbreaking. 😭

@@princess4645 In my opinion the world with the bathhouse and all is the spirit world. And chihiro's is the human world. I think they may see each other again when chihiro dies and if she still remembers haku, her spirit will be able to meet him.

I can’t explain the feeling. I love this movie so deeply, and this beautiful cover brings me joy. But deep down, there’s this inescapable, cold feeling, because I know this movie will never come back again. There will never be another Spirited Away, another Kiki’s Delivery Service, or another Totoro. And when Studio Ghibli closes down, the world will have lost a true angel

I love this comment so much. I absolutely adore Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, etc with all my heart. So much I can’t describe it. It teleports me into another world. But then a thought dashes into my mind. I don’t live in a Studio Ghibli movie. I cant just laugh everything off and smile at whatever comes at me. But listening to this music… its like for those short instants I can. Its like for those short instants everything is fine. That’s what Hayao Miyazaki’s movies do to me.

Same :( I used to live in my dad's house and it was a farm on the country side me and my siblings would jump on hay bales and feed cows grass and ride horses and drink hot milk after. I dunno why this song makes me so sad and happy
I don’t understand how a simple song can wipe away years of murk and abuse, and just remind yourself of the person you lost along the way. The one that never wanted to grow up to be as cold and lost as you feel from day to day. Whenever I hear this I remember a boy who just wanted to explore and create. We’re all gonna bite it, so what better day than today to shift gears and be honest to that boy who needs me to rewrite his end story.

I always feel like this song is telling me that everything is gonna be okay. That your on an adventure, sometimes it's exciting and fun other times its hard or sad but everything will turn out alright. And afterwards you will have lots of memories :). That its okay to cry, to let it all out. That the song is taking care of you and it knows that you're longing after something, that you may or may not find.
