With the heaviest of burden to carry after a worldwide phenomena of the SNF movie soundtrack album, which at that time holds both the best-selling record AND soundtrack album, the follow-up studio album was awaited with great anticipation by the music world (equivalent to Michael's follow-up to the Thriller album). The SNF soundtrack spawned (3) No. 1s for the group. The next album Spirits [Having Flown] connected with another (3) No. 1s, cementing their Legend status was no fluke. The phenomena continued up to the BEE GEES GREATEST double album compilation with a lavish 3-fold album packaging and analogue remastering of all included tracks, which was seldom heard during those days. That compilation went as well to No.1 to close the 70's decade and welcome the starting 80's.

I loved the album including one song rarely mentioned, ' Living Together', where Robin sings falsetto.

Spirits Having Flown was the Bee Gees 2nd best selling album ever, after SNF. Albhy Galuten said it was primarily created by him, Karl Richardson & Barry, who put in long days & nights at Criteria Studios. Albhy said Barry put in 80% of the brothers' studio time between writing, recording & producing. He said after SNF, there was now proof that listeners were drawn to Barry's falsetto, so they worked every track & Barry's vocals to perfection, by doing vocal dubs over & over their recorded work (including his falsetto layered over Robin's on Living Together). After the success they'd had with Andy's albums & now SHF, the trio would become one of the most successful music production teams ever, known as Gibb-Galuten-Richardson.
