Pastor, you should have included verse 4 in this section. I see our way to obey verse one on God's level is how he shows us how it comes about which includes verse 4 😀: 1Pe 2:2 "long for the pure milk of the word" (the way is made known here) 1Pe 2:3 "tasted that the Lord is good" (how do we taste?) 1Pe 2:4 "As you come to him" (in prayer) At least that has been my experience with the Lord fulfilling his commands from the heart. I can fake goodness from outward appearance. I can't fake goodness from the heart because he sees and knows everything. I can't have heart-level obedience to his commands without coming to him on his terms which are the word and prayer. Once we know the way, and then taste his goodness, he works it all out in the heart!
