Spiritual Preparation for the Second Coming - (8) Discerning and reacting to calamities

A topic that came with a lot of opposition, both before and during, and one I didn’t want to cover. The purpose of it is not to stir up division, but rather to help focus on the good even in calamities and to discern the authors.  Some are fixating so much on the venomous serpents in fascination or in fear thinking they have to know their every scale, that they take their eye off the brass serpent, Christ. Sanctification and truly knowing Christ has to the the primary and secondary focus, then the other layers. Then, with our will being aligned to His, we can discern what is really happening with the signs of the times.

Brother Matt, I will thank you & thank & praise the Lord forever for this video in particular. I have wrestled with this (& many other Gadianton programs) feeling that I needed to make myself & others aware of that truth. Until now, I could NOT see that this was/is a form of Spiritual Bondage. However, because you have addressed them--not merely dismissed or shunned my earnest questions & concerns--I can finally see clearly that the Lord is still & always will be in full control, notwithstanding the enemy. I can also perceive a far reaching pattern revealed in the liberating truths found in this video. Thank you for addressing this with the Spirit of Truth & Peace. I no longer need to wrestle with or against the 3 or 4 narrowly defined, divisive, isolating camps of thought. Something that popped out to me in the temple yesterday was that we’re co-creators w the Savior, & need to understand this as we create our day, our lives, our families, & mostly ourselves - who we’re becoming. So when you mentioned how Satan hates that he can’t create (something i hadn’t thought of), it occurred to me that of course he can’t create b/c it is thru the Savior’s pwr that all things are created & why we can only create as co-creators w Him… & the Savior never would or could partner w Satan. I don’t know if this is truth or doctrinal, but it made sense to me… 🙂

We are told in the scriptures that John the Revelatory is the first and head angel and that Michael the Archangel is the 7th trumpet that sounds the 7th trumpet when God will now shows his full power and pits an end to the first 6 woes of destruction. All the mysteries of God are being revealed to us. Pray and father does show us who these 7 are.

How do we reconcile "prepping" for hard times, like Joseph, with what Jesus says in Luke 12:22-34 about not worrying about tomorrow, what we will eat, wear, etc.?

That is a great question. I was just reading those verses in Luke this morning actually. I know that he definitely does not want us to worry about earthly things. At the same time even outside the realm of preparation, he wants us to work, to provide for a family, to save and to be able to provide for ourselves and indeed for others when he gives us abundantly after we have first sought the kingdom of heaven. As it relates to the last days, feel that more extraordinary preparation is guided by the pattern received from Joseph himself, along with others like Noah. He was warned as he interpreted the pharaohs dream, and surely told by the Lord how to prepare for something out of the ordinary. Whenever I teach preparation, I always remind people to approach it spiritually and that it is not one-size-fits-all. We know from the prophecies in the Scriptures that the most tumultuous times in the history of the Earth happen before the Savior comes. When we feel the proximity of that, it prompts us to ask how to prepare temporally, if any is needed. And then we act on what we receive directly from him. To me, it is in a way like the blood above the door. Showing that we believe in the prophecies of that which is to come and that we will take somewhat symbolic steps to show him that we believe that we are looking forward with gladness. Preparation looks different for different people based on where they live and God‘s plan for them. Aside from showing him we are looking forward and believing, I feel that it teaches people to interact with God and receive direction from him even as Joseph did and even as Noah and others. Those events are a type of what is to come. People will laugh at the followers of Christ until “it starts raining.“

Also these 7 are great Gods that were there from the very beginning and are spoke of in all our scriptures. They stood with Father when he gave the lord the 7th seal and he opened the 7th seal. They are the Gods even mentioned in Genesis. We know John in Chapter 10 is Commissioned to come and participated in the restoration of all things. Look up the word Elias and what it means and you will learn more of the angels as father reveals to you who they are.

How close is the second coming? To answer this question we go to JS Matt and read: 32 And again shall THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, be fulfilled. 33 And IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS, THE SUN SHALL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON SHALL NOT GIVE HER LIGHT, AND THE STARS SHALL FALL FROM HEAVEN, AND THE POWERS OF HEAVEN SHALL BE SHAKEN… 36 And, as I said before, after the tribulation of those days, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken, THEN SHALL APPEAR THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN IN HEAVEN, and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn; and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory; 37 And whoso treasureth up my word, shall not be deceived, FOR THE SON OF MAN SHALL COME, AND HE SHALL SEND HIS ANGELS BEFORE HIM WITH THE GREAT SOUND OF A TRUMPET, AND THEY SHALL GATHER TOGETHER THE REMAINDER OF HIS ELECT FROM THE FOUR WINDS, FROM ONE END OF HEAVEN TO THE OTHER. The sequence we have here is 1- Abomination of Desolation, 2- Immediately following the sun is darkened, the moon does not give it’s light, stars fall from haven and the powers of heaven are shaken, 3- Then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven but according to verse 37 the Lord “shall send his angels before him with the great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together the remainder of his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other”. So, if we come to understand the nature of the abomination of desolation and the circumstances that will bring it to pass, we will be able to answer the question posed above. (How close is the second coming?) Of these circumstances Ezra Taft Benson said: ”if THE GENTILES ON THIS LAND reject the word of God and conspire to overthrow liberty and the Constitution, then their doom is fixed, and they ". . . shall be cut off from among my people who are of the covenant". (1 Nephi 14:6; 3 Nephi 21:11, 14, 21; D&C 84:114-115, 117) “The great destructive force which was to be turned loose on the earth and which the prophets for centuries have been calling THE "ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION" is vividly described by those who saw it in vision. Ours is the first generation to realize how literally these prophecies can be fulfilled now that God, through science, has unlocked the secret to THERMONUCLEAR REACTION.” (Oct. general conference, 1961) Elder Benson tells us that the abomination of desolation will be “thermonuclear” in nature and that it will unfold when “THE GENTILES ON THIS LAND reject the word of God and conspire to overthrow liberty and the Constitution”… So it should be obvious to all that the conditions mentioned have been and are being met presently… and if we want to see it coming we need to be awake as to the true nature of the ongoing proxy war between Russia and the United States… We can expect that this conflict will go nuclear in the very near future. Now, if you want to understand the true nature of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine may I suggest you follow what Judge Napolitano says on his KZbin channel because the government and the main street media cannot be trusted...
