As 64 year old man. I feel I am old and wise (an unspiritual individual) however listening to this man I always feel I have so much to learn. And to the younger folk, who may feel they have grasped life and learned all there is to know, listen to every word this man says, in every video . Would love to be able to pass on as much knowledge as John.

Wonderful. Quite a few times I've felt that need to wash Jesus' feet, while I pray or meditate on him. Your video reminded me that I need to talk less, while in prayer, and let God have the space to talk to me.

Dear John, Thank you for these wonderful videos. Although there are things I see differently from you, I love listening to you and you opened my eyes on our egos and how they are responsible for all the suffering in the world. When you were young you wanted to make the world a better place, but you felt you failed to do so. Now, I believe with your videos you achieved this after all. So many people are listening to your words and some of us will try to remember life is not all about me and what I want, hence inspiring us to try and be better. Thank you.

What fascinates me most about a human being is its face. When I see John's face, I understand better why Jesus once said: whoever has seen me has also seen my Father. I think therefore that the human face - and not the Nature - is the best place for God's revelation. I'm curious what John thinks of this! Greetings from Germany

Beautiful again John as you say in silence, just this morning on a very wet and windy day I was enjoying a nice hot cup of tea in my quiet kitchen and a little prayerful thought of complete peace and satisfaction came over me, where I was very aware of my existence in that moment and to be thankful that this little cup of tea will someday be my last. Love to you John.

Reminds me of my recent study on Ramana Maharshi; who emphasized the "I am" through self inquiry. This is in the core of my meditation along with being still and present. It is to know the true self that is the ultimate liberation.

Very good. Presence, stillness, peace, spaciousness, pure consciousness, love and the one "I am" all seem very close to me but still very much out of reach. I guess the more I practice meditation - feet on the ground, look and listen and being still and quiet - the closer I will get to the presence of God. Thanks for another good video and reminding me that we are all immortal beings.

Deep meditation over many years uncovers the great wisdom of the collective subconscious. John Butler, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Ajhan Brham all meditated for many decades, and all reflect the same basic universal truths about life and love. It isn’t religion. It isn’t thought. It is meditation that makes the difference, it seems.

Here i am, in a drunken stooper i tried to use a belt to strangle myself over silly job bullshit, like a job is more important than a human life gimme a break. i was lucky bc my family was there for me, however ... We must live life no matter what, death isnt the answer dam it. Believe in a higher purpose for yourself, its never as bad as you make it. You ultimately make the choice, you do have the power to change, you do have the power to decide, your life is in fact in your own hands. Please choose life over death, death is our enemy and we must connect and work together to keep death at bay otherwise, we are all dead.

Did I hear the first five minutes right, that, after all this personality cult grafted onto him by his surrounds, he starts comparing himself to Jesus via the feet washing ?
@robertsavage75992 жыл бұрын
John seems like a gentle soul, but he absolutely has no clue about many of the things he talks about. It is spiritually dangerous to use him as a mentor. Even his perception of 'I AM' is completely contradictory to what scripture tells us it is. So I use these videos only to fall asleep, as his voice is so soothing. It would be perfect ASMR if it weren't for changes in pitch due to laughing and other things.
@louiseharrison84442 жыл бұрын
He's not comparing himself to Jesus. He uses the act carried out by Jesus to express the great swell of love he felt for his fellow human beings. And, with that, the desire to be a servant.
@TheSoteriologist2 жыл бұрын
@@louiseharrison8444 Yeah, that's how I heard it, too, but you'll admit it's getting dangerously close. For instance, Jesus' feet washing went far beyond being a spontaneous expression of love and humility. It was also consciously a deeply symbolic act. In fact, it was an initiatic introduction and exhortation to the apostles to follow his example in a way that would be highly questionable for anyone else to arrogate to himself.
@louiseharrison84442 жыл бұрын
@@TheSoteriologist John wasn't arrogating anything to himself. He experienced a state of being which Jesus had advocated for us to follow. He unself-consciously shared that with us. John is human and goes to great lengths not to disguise that fact. His warmth, gentleness, and humility and spiritual understanding, are a result of the thousands of hours he's spent in meditation. John is one of the holiest persons alive, I'd venture. Yes, in virtue of being a limited human being, he suffers from the sin of Adam...the human ego.. But much, much less than you or I.

I like to listen to to John to fall asleep but he utterly butchers the meaning of scripture to the point of blasphemy. He equates himself with God the Father and adopts I AM for himself which is about as antichrist as you can get. He’s going to hell based on what I’ve heard him say about God and Jesus.
