Most pressurized systems have two valves that can be closed to isolate the boiler. If the MB3 is to be fitted a short distance below the return flow isolating valve (which is usually the case) and the return flow pipe is vertical, you can depressurize entirely and then isolate the boiler, allowing the MB3 to be installed without draining the system, as only a minimal amount of water will escape when the return flow pipe is cut. Note that the lower part of the cut pipe may have nothing to support it, in which case keep hold of it. Also, take care that the lower olive doesn't drop so far down the pipe that it becomes difficult to reach when you want to attach it to the MB3. After fitting the MB3, remember to open the isolating valves before gradually repressurizing the system whilst watching for any leak.

The light he pushed is not the boiler switch! The boiler spur was left on throughout the install. The olives should be pasted with an appropriate compound such as Boss White, dry olives can (an often do) leak and you'd need to drain it again to paste it!!

. DO NOT USE a groove plier / water pump plier / alligator wrench / slip joint pliers, YOU WILL damage the brass fittings. For brass fittings USE always a fork spanner / open-ended spanner. Always debur the inside of pipes.

Geen beste montage-film Spirotech... Gebruik ALTIJD een passende steeksleutel, of desnoods een baco of sleuteltang voor montage van koperen (knel)fittingen! (Een waterpomptang beschadigt koperen (knel)fittingen) Ontbraam ALTIJD leidingen. Gebruik geen muziek/muzak in montage-films, het leidt af, komt niet professioneel over en is ook nog eens erg storend.

Marion Knight The Adey Magnaclean is much better. The one on this vid is easy to fit but doesn't stop sh*te getting back to your boiler. Even the newer version with the external magnet isn't great.

Marion Knight even the British gas engineers who fit the spiroclean say stay away (even the newer version). I fitted a Spiroclean on my system when they first came out...I've never got any sludge out of it even when I drain the system and take it apart. It's a shame because the build quality is amazing. The people I know who've got the Magnaclean have the cheaper red one and they work ok. I'm almost ready for a new boiler. When I take the plunge I'll be fitting a Magnaclean.
