I had to post something: I've been using spitfire bearings for a long while as they were cheap enough to replace often and I like them. The ONE time I tried Bones Bearings recently, where the one side of the bearings is exposed...my board went through ONE tiny puddle and a day later the bearings had seized up! That's £20 bones versus £10 spitfire. And I'd go spitfire everytime.

Yeah it's strange how reds have such a good reputation yet a lot of people I've spoken to have issues, or don't realise there are better options! I think a lot of it stems from sponsored skaters paid to talk good things about them. Thanks for your insight!

Your definitely make the most of that park mate, it looks like an awkward one. I’ve been using bronsons G3 bearings for a while and they’re ace. Little more expensive than reds but I think it’s worth it.

Thanks, it's a bit of a random park with either tiny and whippy ramps or absolute monsters 😂 Not sure it was designed for beginner skateboarders but BMX and Scooters but it's a cool one to visit and try stuff on. I'd like to try the Bronsons next, obviously a different price bracket like you say. The bearings I have tried and compare these to have all been around the £10-£15 price point

I used to absolutely love Huyton skatepark, summer time there used to be so many skaters there :) but people stopped going after being kicked out or robbed

Yeah it's a weird situation but I was really curious to try it. I've done a more in depth video about the park and the first time I skated it! The scariest park I've skated is Kings Road in Speke. Feel like I was minutes away from having my camera nicked there. But it's such a good park 😭

Had a similar experience with my red too. Ended up being so annoyed by them I bought a set of bronsons g3s. By the time the g3s arrived my reds were spinning like crazy 😂 they rusted super quick tho. I’ve had bronsons for a year now and I’ve skated with the caps off! They roar at me but they goooo boi 🔥 and mate I know how you feel… my skate park is a nightmare to learn anything on!

Bronsons are next on my list to try but it's the next price bracket so I'll skate these for a bit first. Bronsons and Spitfire wheels next set up though 🤔😉

@@DadLeisureSkateboarding I’m pretty sure I got a set of pro bronsons with a skater name on cheaper than the actual standard one haha keep an eye on the prices mate! Spitfire are pricey but the f4s will last you until they’re tiny haha 👊 looking good pumpin btw!

I'd like to see a follow up on this video in 6 months or so to see if they are still going good. I think that is the big tester for them. Btw, I know you normally have your sessions on Tuesdays, which sucks as I'm always in work Tuesdays. However, I have Tuesday coming up off and I have managed to get back out skating a little, so if your up for it do you wanna have a session at Graystones?
