Awesome! I somehow missed that your Spitfire is back! I'm currently building one of these myself with a very similar setup (Dynam V3). It's a bit of a fiddly job carving out the battery bay and getting the cameras positioned well and in a way that you hit CG. I'm just making decisions on how I want to build it to allow belly landings at the moment. Would love to have kept the landing gear but wheels seem only good for concrete runways (or extremely well kept grass maybe).
@OMEGOOLIEBIRD3 жыл бұрын
Hey Adam, please note that I split my fuselage at the glue joint this time, and carved each side on its own, it was loads easier.. but to my horror.. I discovered they add a 120g block of lead in the nose before joining the halfs! You wouldn't know it is in there.. So I removed it and added 120g of cells instead hahah! If you need an image of where it is, I have a spare split fuselage in my loft and can get it down for a picture if you need to see the location of the lead! You could then dig it out without splitting the fuselage if you don't want to.

Love the perspective, flight altitude, and the music. Hope the damage wasn’t too severe. At that last moment you can see the wing trailing you pull ⬆️ hard. Stay safe and happy flying!

She's firing on all cannons again mate, ready to Fockk and roll :-)
Unfortunately, recently it had an aileron servo fail on takeoff.. it banked right, straight into my girlfriends car window. It totaled the plane and took me 2 full days to remove the glass and repair the car. You can see it happen in the latest spitfire video.. we didn't include the whole shot, because I don't want to bring the hobby into disrepute, it would scare some people an rc plane punching through a car window.. I'm done with Spitfires now sadly..

Cruise 80-90kmh 10-14a. 60km total range. Needs the nose weight to counteract the Go-pro, so better lithium than lead!
