I can remember my father singing this song since I was a boy. Something just told me to punch some lyrics into Google, & here I am. What a beautiful song. He has departed from me 12 years now, but I still miss him every day. I'm about to be 30 in a few weeks

This is my absolute favorite version of this song, I just spent 20 min searching and searching youtube. This should be high on the first page when someone searches "The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond"

Luxon's voice is perfect here...but then his voice was perfect in just about any genre. Such gorgeous tone. One of the finest and most beautiful voices ever.

I think it's perfect. Luxon had such an exquisite voice. He was also very versatile, and could sing in just about any genre.

I've listened to every artists version. Damn, this is the best! Such a voice.

Luxon was primarily an opera singer, but he had a second, concurrent career as a folk singer, with his singing partner, Bill Crofut. Luxon unfortunately went deaf in his 50s from an auto-immune condition. What a magnificent voice.

Y'golonac In a letter to my great grandmother he was mentioned as a relative, and that he was a well known singer in England.

@@bigsmoke7759 He was mainly an opera and concert singer, who had a separate career as a folk singer with hsi singing partner, Bill Crofut. Luxon was one of the greatest operatic baritones of the 20th Century. Unfortunately, in the early 1990s he went deaf from an autoimmune condition, and no longer sings. We're all very lucky that so many of his recordings are available.
