There are a lot of fake music critics out here who have done nothing that even approximates this artist's career. They sit on the sideline and offer unsolicited feedback.

I love his voice. I understand that he has hearing problems and doesn't sing any more. What a tragedy. Thank you for posting this.

Its amazing. I see that this is just this way to sing this piece, with each word slightly broken and aspirated and without amy operatic covering of the tone. Ive just listened to Leontyne Price and Frederica von Stade, who sing it legato and it just doesn't communicate!

1 I wonder as I wander, out under the sky, how Jesus the Savior did come for to die for poor ordinary people like you and like I; I wonder as I wander, out under the sky. 2 When Mary birthed Jesus, 'twas in a cow's stall with wise men and farmers and shepherd and all. but high from God's heaven a star's light did fall, and the promise of ages it did then recall. 3 If Jesus had wanted for any wee thing, a star in the sky, or a bird on the wing, or all of God's angels in heaven for to sing, he surely could have it, 'cause he was the King. 4 I wonder as I wander, out under the sky, how Jesus the Savior did come for to die for poor ordinary people like you and like I; I wonder as I wander, out under the sky.

Very fine, indeed. I've made some pretty negative comments about Luxon's pop song offerings on KZbin but not because I thought he had a poor voice. He had a beautiful voice, but one suited to the opera house, or, perhaps even more, to the church. His pop stuff always sounds like it's coming from a chapel. He could've made Ain't That A Kick in the Head sound that way.

Inter Viewer: Did you ever consider making a pact with the devil to get your hearing back? BL: He hasn’t come to me, that’s the problem. If he’d have turned up, I might have done it. Who knows? Life goes on. It’s quite interesting.
